Carmageddon Max Pack

Brings back childhood memories awesome!!

Carmageddon is a lovely little racing is game and it's suitable for all ages....except for soccer moms.

I was very excited about the chance to play again the splat pack, as I did when I was a teenager. Unfortunately, even with nglide, the resolution and refresh rate tweaked, I just found it impossible to play without a growing headache. I remember I used to play it on a CRT monitor 1024x768@100Hz. Controls are difficult to customize (does not recognize the arrows), no sound effects from the driver ("damn!", "stay aware!"), no way to display the driver face on the top left corner, no reflections on the car glass.. a lot of little things that built that kind of golly atmosphere that made me fall in love with this game at the time. I only hope one day they will release a splat pack version for android, as they did for the original Carmageddo., That porting I truly enjoyed.

15 years ago I played the demo and was blown away by how much fun the game was. I had to have it. Bought it as soon as it came out and loved every mile of it. Surprisingly, 15 years later, the game is just as much fun as it was! Okay the technology has moved on but start it up in "Hardware mode" and its still pretty enough to play until its time to go to work. Buy it, play it, love it!

This is easily my favourite game on pc and one of my favourite games of all time. I am disappointed at how many people have never heard of this game and believe it is a highly underrated classic.
