Carmageddon 2: Carpocalypse Now

This game was a blastwhen it was first released and it's a blast now. However it loses a star for requiring some trickery to get working with Windows 11 (none of which are in GOG's support article). Here were the steps that worked for me: 1) Install manually via downloadable installer. 2) Navigate to the folder with the game. 3) Rename "CARMA2_HW" to "CARMA2_FIXED" (or any other name you want). 4) Right click your renamed file and check "Run as Administrator". Click OK. 5) Launch "CARMA2_FIXED". 6) Enjoy. This would be easy for GOG to fix. I wish they saved me the muck around.

From Pong to Xbox one, I've played it all! I remember when Carmageddon came out. It was just what I wanted! ... then the magical 3Dfx patches appeared, remember? ...WOW! Carmageddon 2 has the best of both worlds. I run my monitor at 2560x1600 and Carma 2 graffics are perfect, full screen. I had the timed Carma 2 Demo that I could make work on my Win7 PC's but the full game wouldn't. The sequel Carmageddon 2000 was complete crap, lol. This is a classic as it is. GOG rocks for their Mission and Accomplishment! I can even use my old Logitech Force Feedback wheel with this. Great work and many, many thanks.

I started my journey with Carmageddon from sequel and for me it's absolutely the best part ever created, mostly due to awesome physic and damage model implemented. Not that it's so realistic, but it's really satisfying, never seen anything like this anymore. Playability of this game still impress me despite so much time has passed. There is a problem with soundtrack in GOG version on W10 unfortunately... Iron Maiden as a background to such game was a brilliant choice. Hope they gonna patch it somehow.

This game is just as fun now as it was all those years ago.

At last! I`ve been waiting for this game to appear on gog.com for years. I had a demo installed on my old win xp notebook but since I bought a new pc I prayed for an opportunity to play this excellent game once again. The car physics is great (still one of the best even after 15 years!), maps are fantastic and most of all, the game is pure FUN.
