good overlooked adventure
It's a traditional point-and-click adventure game with a unique setting and explicit tie-ins to the Cthulhu mythology. Regular World War 2 soldiers face unstoppable alien horrors and struggle to find a solution. Timing is an important factor in some puzzles, and I remember having to turn to a walkthrough a few times. The game has some rough edges and the production isn't the very best of its era. But it left a favorable impression overall. Without spoiling it, the story takes a lot of unexpected turns and has a satisfying conclusion. GOG's screenshots are spoilerific, so if you like what you see in the first few, don't worry about the rest. I played the original release and can't comment on the quality of this one. Others are reporting serious problems, so check that it's working before you buy.
