Lots of style
The music and atmosphere are great. They alone are enough to tempt me to buy the full game. I like the visuals in general, especially when you can appreciate it (cutscenes and slower areas); though it can be hard to make things out in action, especially at the speed it moves, and the small size of the sprites. I was frustrated by the reliance on teleporting enemies in, though. That always seems lazy, and makes prediction harder. There are better options - things like doors or cells in the background that could open, vehicles dropping people off, enemies coming on from the edges and so on. That makes the space feel more real and physical. In fact, a slightly slower pace and a bit more chance to explore believable areas wouldn't go amiss - the giant sawblades make me think of cartoony stuff like Super Meat Boy more than dystopian wars. Overall it seems to have lots of style, and some good features, but also a few less good design choices.
