In Builders of Egypt, you can explore the land of the pharaohs through the ages, from the Nile Delta to Nubia. Build cities, manage trade, economy, and resources, make strategic decisions, control armies and engage in battles, foster religious development, and ensure the well-being of your citizens. Play through a complete campaign or unleash your creativity in Sandbox mode.
The game spans the entire history of pharaonic Egypt. You'll begin your journey as the governor of Memphis during the Early Dynastic Period under King Narmer's rule and conclude in Dendera during the Ptolemaic period under Cleopatra VII Philopator. With Builders of Egypt, you’ll explore Egyptian history and uncover lesser-known facts along the way.
Builders of Egypt is a vibrant world you can explore, set to an original soundtrack. Observe growing settlements, lush meadows and fields along the Nile, the warm sands of the desert, and the rich flora and fauna of the Egyptian landscape. Uncover abundant deposits of diverse resources and precious stones.
With nearly 40 diverse missions, you'll understand the importance of a strong economic and financial foundation. Manage your revenue to prevent crises. Remember, trade is essential for sustainable growth. Produce goods, extract resources, and open new trade routes. Focus on developing roads, buildings, and their surroundings to enhance your city's infrastructure. Don’t forget to maintain a strong army, build city walls, and protect your citizens from enemy attacks. Organize military expeditions, devise strategies, and plan assaults.
The residents of your settlement need regulat access to places of worship. Key aspects include organizing the Opet festival and other celebrations, along with consistently supplying goods to the temples. The gods have a tangible impact on the city’s growth, so neglecting religious practices could lead to serious social unrest.
Build iconic structures like the Great Pyramid, or the Abu Simbel Temple. Prepare for formidable challenges, as constructing these monuments will place a significant strain on the royal treasury, which could negatively impact public morale. Each of these historic structures will rise step-by-step, brought to life by teams of skilled professionals.
If you value freedom and creativity, try the Sandbox mode! Build cities, erect monumental structures, care for your citizens, expand trade and economy, and cultivate agriculture on your own terms.

Maybe the worst city-builder I've seen
And no, I'm not being the slightest bit hyperbolic about that title. This game really has some of the absolutely bloody WORST gameplay and design I have EVER seen in a city-builder game. I mean, jesus freakin' christ... what the hell made the devs think it was even remotely a good idea to make every single map look so damn cluttered that it's impossible to tell what is or isn't even a buildable area in the first place?! Adding to that, the optimization is absolute DOGCRAP. I have a high-end gaming computer built to handle some of the most demanding games out there (within reason, obviously), and despite this my GPU utilization spiked up to 97%+ and its temperature shot up to nearly the same... IN BLOODY CENTIGRADES! That's hot enough to BOIL WATER! "But how big was your city at the time, dude?" you may be asking. Yeah, see, that's the thing: I hadn't even freakin' begun building ANYTHING yet. Empty map, new save, ultra-crappy optimization with a high-end GPU. Which, by the way, never happens with ANY of the 500+ other games I own and play on this PC. ...but the crappiness of the game doesn't end there, no sir-ee! Buildings in the game have absolutely bloody atrocious ranges, so a water well can't reach more than a single "block" (i.e. 2-3 houses, or about 6-7 grid-spaces) in any direction, and the "upgraded" variety only have about twice that (so about 5-6 houses, or 10-12 grid-spaces), which is a bloody joke! If you've played Pharaoh, Zeus, or any other games in the Immortal Cities series, you'll know how bad that is. And then of course there's the bloody atrocious audio design! Ambient noises for cities consists of: 1. Somebody chomping on something EXTREMELY loudly. 2. Somebody coughing. 3. Some birds tweeting. 4. One or two other sounds. ...which combined makes for a maybe 20-30 seconds long loop of crappy ambience, which repeats ad bloody nauseam! Seriously, if you want an Egypt-themed city builder, just play Children of the Nile instead.
