Spiritual Successor to Paper Mario RPG

It is a turn-based RPG that plays similar to the Paper Mario Series. The gameplay is more "quick time eventy" than time-based attacks like the jump attack from paper mario, but the game has a feature mechanic that some enemies are weak to certain character's attack dealing more damage or forcing an enemy to get out from underground. Also you can switch position and which character to attack first with no turn wasted until a character attack first; the big positive is that you need to play smartly in order to survive and beat enemies. The story in this game is fantastic for being about bug's society as there are lores about what this bug world has to offer. You will enjoy your character's personality traits throughout your adventure. The only trouble that I had in this game is that using character's ability in the overworld can be wonky at times as I feel there is about one second delay before it can happen which can be troublesome on ding minigames or getting an advantage before fighting an enemy. Also there is a chance of the game breaking when either pausing or entering a building forcing you to hard-quiting the game through task manager or other means. Overall, I am enjoying this game way more than I thought and possibly like this universe more than the N64 & Gamecube Paper Mario. I hope the devs continues on working on the Bug Fables series as I would love for a sequel of this game universe.

Panamanian Indie Game

The first Panamanian game I've ever played. Panama must be a good country because it's such a sweet little title. Well maybe not so little. It has a handsome amount of content despite an indie game. It also runs well on my potato pc. I haven't beat the game yet, but GoG keeps asking me to share my rate. I'd say it's five stars so far. I like the characters, art, music, and the general vibes of it all. Hoping the story ends well.

This game is amazing and you shoul play-

-it Holy goodness gracious I love this game. The combat is engaging and doesn't fall into the trap that the Mario and Luigi RPG games fall into where you constantly spam the bro moves (Skills, in this game) because of how much more limited the resource is. It's such an incredibly balanced game that puts a lot of emphasis on standard attacks and item usage. My favorite part is the story. All three of our main characters are so fun and charming that I desperately wanted to see every piece of dialog they have. Their motivations are consistent throughout and the way they grow as individuals through their special request quests is so wonderful. The music is amazing. I would heartily recommend listening to it outside of the game. Whatever vibe you're wanting, this game has it. Fun and upbeat battles, to difficult boss fights, funky tunes, chill, desperate, creepy, comforting. This game has it all. I would honestly say this game's soundtrack rivals Undertale in terms of it's consistent quality across the board. In terms of criticisms I do have a few. Doing diagonal overworld actions on keyboard is unintuitive. If you don't release the up/down and left/right keys on the same frame, the character's last state will be in either up/down or left/right. Forcing you to have to stay in a walking state up until the action is taken. Which isn't entirely easy, because there is a short delay between hitting the action key and the action being taken. It's not an egregious delay, but it is noticeable and can lead to frustration. This game likely controls better on a controller in general. My other critique would be a few noticeable glitches every now and then. Stuff that I wouldn't really know how to replicate. This game is honestly amazing. I love it so much and I am so incredibly biased in that. Even with my criticisms, i don't feel like they take away from the overall experience enough to warrant knocking a star off. I advise everyone to play this game. 10/10
