Its such a good game considering its age, nice story and gameplay, controls are a bit weird, it will take some minutes to get used to it. 10/10 from me

Not Great Not Terrible

I do not have nostalgia for this game as it somehow passed me by in 2008. Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway is a light tactical shooter which involves you pointing guys around to take out enemy squads, the gameplay revolves around a suppression system in which enemy squads need to be suppressed before you can move up and shoot them. The game also heavily penalizes your ability to aim in order to prevent you from just shooting the enemy. These game mechanics are really enjoyable and intuitive, I can say that even in the year of 2021 this game's mechanics are great and really hold up, its a shame they never made anymore. So you're probably wondering why I didn't give it four or five stars. This games weakest aspect has got to be the story. The story SUCKS and the cutscenes are really long, every character is really generic and they tried so hard to make you care about them. There is also a big tragic reveal that's built up but its super underwhelming and I didn't care to begin with. Also the game really isn't that hard and the hardest difficulty is only unlocked once you complete the game, sadly I have no interest in playing it all again as I now know all the encounters. P.S. All the British soldiers are wearing Soviet SSh helmets and it's super weird.
