Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood™

Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood is a first-person tactical shooter set in WWII. It sets itself apart from other WWII games by providing the player with a unique tactical perspective. You command your squad as they fight their way through the villages and towns of Normandy against the German occupiers. Each of the men in your squad has a unique personality, and you have to make some tough decisions under pressure that can sometimes have tragic consequences for your brothers in arms. This makes you very invested in both the story and the men under your command.

Brothers in Arms: EiB took the formula that made Road to Hill 30 fantastic and really ramped it up - including multiple game modes to increase challenge and replayability. This series meant a lot to me as a child playing them on original Xbox, I'm happy to be able to replay it here on PC. My only complaint is that the multiplayer servers are down.

While the game contains some interesting features like leading your own support teams it really falls behind in comparison with the Call of Duty series. The scenarios are extremely linear and the scenery very much reduced thereby often looking like a badly arranged stage without props. During the game you are always outnummbered, outgunned and mostly in an unfavorably strategic position. This is still acceptable to a certain point because once you master leadership and efficient deployment of your teams those obstacles can be overcome. It is very annoying though when you are literally counting your bullets while enemies are raining you with shells all the time. This is even more unnerving because is almost impossible to shoot enemies at a distance and most of them need several hits to go down. Sometime they are only a few meters away and even though you are using the aim mode you completely fail to hit. This is unreal ... did those developers ever test the gameplay ? What really drives you away however is that you cannot save your progress. Especially in very difficult parts of a map you fail quite often and then need to start the entire scenario again from the beginning of the last checkpoint. Not recommended ... No real improvement compared with its predecessor

-Enemys take couple of shots to get down, ok for a squad based game that would make sense but it gives a unrealistic feel -also the gun sways too much similar to other games when you are out of breath -technical issues (Game only runs at 30 FPS) +Squadmates are controllable via commands +realistic ironsight

I played the first one, that one was tolerable. This one is absolute garbage. Graphics are pretty much the same with the slight change to the fact that they kinda move their mouths a bit better, even though the irst one was on xbox and this one is suppposedly for the 360. Now what REALLY sucks is that here they have you running even MORE suicide missions against tanks and enemy positions that have no flanks, not only that but on one specific mission they disable your ability to drop a grenade into a tank to kill the crew inside and forcefully make you use the crappy panzerfaust to kill it, which it takes 3 direct hits of. Now where are the panzerfausts you ask? Right next to an enemy machinegun position, AAND right next to the enemy tank position.... not only that but there are un-lankable enemies hiding behind walls further behind them that will shoot you. What does the game aas you to do? Take out the MG nd 'lure' the tank away. The tank doesn't fucking move, it stays there and just sprays you with unfire AND taank rounds. Fucking disgusting. The only reason to even consider getting this is if its on that like $2.75 dollar bundle sale with the other two games and if you want to hear some of the story being told from Red's point of view.
