A story only a videogame could tell
This game is one of the finest examples of interactive story telling that I've come across. I played it several years ago on the Xbox 360. It really does need to be played with a controller, with each thumb stick representing one of the two brothers. Without wishing to spoil anything, it is this mechanic that really gives it an emotional weight, which it would signifcantly lack in any other medium. The gameplay essentially requires you to solve various environmental puzzles using the brothers in unison, as they journey through scenery that is beautiful and sometimes macabre. It's a short game that can be completed in less than 4 hours and with the story aspect being the game's main draw, replayability is not going to be too high. However, it is a great little fairy tale story that deserves to be played through.
