The scarcity of resources is frustrating and the time you take to progress is tedious. You do get to explore the location you're in, but most of the time it's a pure grindfest. Certainly not anything to get excited about.

I initially found this on Gog when it was still in development. It was clearly incomplete but presented as complete; this was very misleading! However I replayed it again recently and it is definitely complete. It has silly humour, lots of exploration, a LOT of crafting a bit of shooteyness. All in all it's a nice experience. The only real downside is they often put VERY long corridors in certain areas, which leads to you having to run back to your ship for a full minute each way just to dump off your crafting goodies.... or craft something required to proceed. This can get quite tedious on occasion, especially in two certain walking sections. Still worth buying, even if you wait for a sale!

A very entertaining start. I think this was worth the price and shall eagerly await the full release. A balanced mix of puzzle solving, exploration and crafting. I started to suffer a little crafting fatigue as I approached the end of the chapter. The puzzle solving was integrated into the crafting and worked well, I think. Graphics looked pretty polished for an early access. I didn't notice any glitches but then I wasn't really looking for them. I was just playing the game but I didn't notice anything that affected the immersion. Performance was great. No load times or transitions once loaded. I can't remember exactly but I think I was getting ~120fps with a 4690k & 1080ti. Music was enjoyable and only added to the humour. Mouse & keyboard controls were smooth and responsive.

Too bad this game is a comedy. Could be so much better as a chilling, immersive space survival. Other than that the game is a blast. Subnautica in space that looks and runs better than Subnautica. Plus the length/price ratio rocks, took me 20 hours to finish the Early Access part and apparently it's just 1/4 of the game.

I cannot attest to the earlier iterations of the game but as of post 1.0.x, it's been rock solid and loads of fun. There are some areas where it can get a little mundane (walking is repeatedly mentioned), however I've found those to be on the margin and usually there's enough to look at or find during each trip that it's not entirely wasted and the devs have provided some shortcuts after completing an objective. Overall, the developers have done a very complete and great job of engrossing the player into the environment and self-pacing. Challenges aren't incredibly difficult and players with a good eye for detail and recall will be well rewarded when needing a specific part for a particular recipe for crafting. I've enjoyed it all, including the pithy comments and banter. Some tools have seemingly short lifespans, but it can't all be infinite or it'd be entirely too easy and un-enjoyable. To each their own..
