Nostalgia city
One of the first truly openworld games, glad it's for sale again, many factions to work for so replay value is great.

I Can PLAY This!
As another said, kind of FarCry like; like FarCry 2 scheme playing and looking like the FarCry 1 era: this is a compliment as I mean it here... But I find Boiling Point easier to play; and even getting myself killed was more fun than in the first FarCry (I'm still a huge fan of FarCry 2), where I would only get frustrated... You can play this one like 'Postal' too, if you like, at least between saves: I never play Postal; I only like to play some others like this at times to vent! Lol. Otherwise, as Others have mentioned, is a FUN game, a bit buggy, dated, and a remake would be great. I would give it one more star, but for no controller support yet and random sound issues... It works fine on Win 10; I hope it still works on Win 11 after October! Only heard of it recently; glad I bought it!

saves dont work no good
i ran into a problem where a save didnt work and the internets only answer is to back up saves. i had to start a new game and i kept multiple saves and they all work... except my most current one. game seems neat but i just cant dedicate my patience to making it playable.

Saul Meyers is the man.
Saul Meyers may be very tired, but I'm not tired of this game. Shoot, run, trade, drive and do quests. Is there anything he can't do?

Game is a broken mess
Upon launching the game, I get the dreaded "font too big" crash. I looked into it, and many people recommend lowering the scaling to 100% before launching the game and changing the game's .ini file to match my screen resolution. Neither of these worked for me. I wasted an hour trying to figure this out myself. The only way for me to get the game to run was to run it in compatiblity mode with Windows XP and disable fullscreen optimizations. I also had to check the two DPI boxes and selected "system enhanced." But, this only works if you bypass the games's launcher and GOG launcher. I bypassed these launchers by going into the game's folder and launching the Xenus executable. This launched the game, and it ran just fine, but once I quit out, I got a different error trying to launch the game again. The only way to play this game is to verify the game's cache and go through this compatibility process again. What a headache. This game requires a 3rd party unofficial update or mod to work, as it's broken out of the box for me. I can't support a game that falsly advertises working on Windows 10 and AMD hardware, so I just refunded it.
