BloodRayne: Terminal Cut with Ultimate Update
In the years between the World Wars, Agent BloodRayne works as a killing machine for The Brimstone Society – a top secret fraternity that hunts down and destroys supernatural threats. Two missions, five years apart, turn out to be connected by one man. In this frenetic and bloody third-person shooter that unleashed the iconic red-headed femme fatale on the world, the dhampir Rayne faces horrific creatures, hordes of soldiers with an array of tools and firepower, and every Nazi officer that stands between her and the one she must stop.

The game now includes Ultimate Update patch with many updates that fans have been asking for such as mutants with their proper flesh color!

Ultimate Update features:
  • Textures on enemy models have been restored to their original console version aesthetic
  • Japanese voice-acting and subtitles have been added
  • Additional rendering improvements to water and other textures
  • Miscellaneous bug fixes

BloodRayne 2: Terminal Cut with Ultimate Update
BloodRayne is a dhampir, born from the unnatural union of vampire and human. Blessed with the powers of a vampire but cursed with the unquenchable thirst for blood and a weakness to sunlight, Rayne is challenged with her most personal battle yet as she hunts down her siblings. With new acrobatic movements and rail sliding, fast-paced blade and gun combat, fatal finishing moves, more dhampir powers like time control, and an extensive combo system, BloodRayne 2 is a brutally satisfying continuation of the iconic series.

The game now includes Ultimate Update. In addition to language and sound improvements, this patch introduces a rebalanced boss fight with Ephemera in the Twisted Garden to better match the experience players remember from the console version.

Ultimate Update features:
  • Ephemera boss fight rebalanced
  • Restoration of missing music and audio tracks
  • Improved graphical fidelity for bonus materials
  • Russian language localization improvements
  • Miscellaneous bug fixes

Overall for both games.

Very very good action games the both of them. In both games you can dispatch enemies with many different moves. Also, both games have no manual saving, just checkpoints. Other than these, each game has its own points where, in my opinion, it’s better than the other. In the first game I liked the gameplay better, as in the second one it is often needed to use the environment for some actions (e.g. throw enemies at a spot to destroy it, rather than using raw force), which require more precision in movements and overall controlling. Also, in the second game Rayne suffers damage more quickly and severely when in water or under the sun, while in the first she can withstand more damage. The second game features a better story and also takes place in more varied environments and there are many more different types of enemies. I don’t plan to play Betrayal: Fresh Bites. I cannot bear platform games.

Good Games. Nostalgia Factor

Good Action games, that you can finish in under 10 hours. You do not need to colect all kind of colectibles and stuff, no secondary missions, just a liniar experience with a simple story. A secret society , ocult stuff, kill them all. Both games run without any problems. I played the games on my Asus RogStrix G15 (2022) Ryzen 6900HX , RTX 3070 TI mobile without any problems. I didn't have any crash to desktop, the audio works fine for both games and the gampad is suported. The games didn't age very well and the graphics is dated especially in the first game. The second one holds a litle bit better than the first one but don't expect anything spectacular in graphics term, the games are from 2002-2004. I bought the games for the nostalgia factor ( played both of them when i was a kid and they are between my favorites games ever), so i tought to give them a new try when i saw The Terminal Cut versions. The first game has 3 acts (Louisiana Swamp, Argentina and Castle Gaustadt ) divided in 40 smaller locations. The game is quite easy even on hard dificulty, the only annoying section is the temple section in act 2, and the final bosses beacuse of the 2 step fight . The second game has more variety and it`s divided in 7 episodes. In this one you can use traps, and environment kills and it`s a little bit better overal. The game is easiest than the first one and the environment more varied. I really recommend the games for all the nostalgic players out there who want to play a simple action game. I don't know if for the newest players the games will be that appealing because they are quite old, but if graphics are not that important for you fell fry to try the games beacuse you will have some fun. I really wish that this franchise will revive some day but we will wait and see. The price is a little bit high, but if you can buy them at a 35-50% discount it's worth the price. Overall for me best experience ever.

As divisive as Fallout 3 & New Vegas

Bloodrayne 1 is a mindless, lovable bunch of sex & violence, blended together in a way that leaves lots of room for self-expression. At the basics, you can slash your way though enemies, pick up their guns and use it against their friends, all while moving at the speed of cocaine (in comparison to the sequel). There's the unlimited bullet time for coolness, harpoon for bringing an enemy closer to aid you & spice things up... or you can just play on Easy and walk into bullets if you wanted to. The voice acting is definitely more sensual in the first game, most notably Rayne uses the same pained grunts when getting shot for jumping; either you hate it and curse the developers for not having a voice volume slider, or you love it so much it becomes a guilty pleasure (we're talking *every* jump here, Quake 1 style). Rayne is silent for both things in the sequel. BloodRayne 2 expands upon the action formula, but is much harder as a result - you have to know what you're doing. There's multiple Blood Rage modes, you always have "guns", and everything is more polished across the board. But... Rayne feels slower & weaker in this installment in comparison - she can get knocked down by common enemies, who now move about as fast as you are. Then there's the constant miniboss enemies that require specific maneuvers to take down; otherwise you can't progress. Most regrettably, you cannot pick up enemy weapons anymore and refilling your ammo is more involved. This control overload is compounded by there being NO DIFFICULTY SETTING. Either you learn how to play it properly, or use cheats and be bored by the only challenge left - throwing enemies into meat grinders. and boy do you have a lot of meat grinders!(did I mention these are forced?) There's more story in the second game, but I was too frustrated & not having fun to care about it to be honest. P/S: You can google for free demos of both games, Terminal Cut are mostly the same game with better hardware support & assets.

No audio.

I am happy that the game now has controller support, however there is no audio at all in the first game. I tested all of my other gog games just to be sure it wasn't my pc. And yes, those games all had audio. This is the only game that does not have audio. So kind of a bummer.
