The promise has finally been kept
Fresh Supply was a great attempt at making the best from a bad situation; it let folks experience something that was close enough to the original blood on modern platforms without having to play IT sysadmin to hunt down files and play around with other source ports (of which there are now multiple that can give a great experience if you're willing to put on your thinking cap.) if you played the original enough though, you could tell that it never *quite* felt right if the original blood was something that you played a ton of already, Refreshed Supply finally delivers on the promise on what players expect from a Nightdive release; the feel is exactly as it should be, there are plenty of quality-of-life features that let you play something that feels fresh if you wanna turn on fancy lighting effects, streamlined multiplayer, and gameplay that feels just like the modern community ports that sprung up after it Fresh Supply was confirmed that it wouldn't ever get a fix due to business politics. The fact that we're also getting "official" releases of Death Wish and Marrow with this are just icing on the cake, as both mods are fantastic flexes that play around with what makes Blood an all-time great game, there's tons of great level design, mood setting, and crucial to every Build shooter, lots of fun with explosions and level geometry. If you already have Fresh Supply and missed out on the preorder discount, this might be a hard sell since its really only adding better computer-management convenience, multiplayer, and console support, (Death Wish and Marrow both run fine on the old release and other ports,) but if you're new to the game and want an easy jumping on point for everything that makes Blood one of the all-time best shooters, this is EXACTLY what people have been asking for; its just a shame that it took so long to navigate the legal nightmare of IP law and code archival to get to this point. This is a fantastic game that finally has been given the celebration it deserves. If it causes anyone to give it a try for the first time, it will be worth it.
