Reworked version of the original game with a lot of new additions and improvements, free for all previous owners of "Caribbean!"

Includes the Free DLC "All Hands Ahoy!"

Blood & Gold: Caribbean!' is a blend of economic strategy and open-world RPG, set in the pirate era of XVII Century Caribbean. The game is based on the significantly improved Mount & Blade: Warband engine.

Free for all previous owners of 'Caribbean!', Blood & Gold brings community's most wanted features, such as an addition of the Native tribes, reworked locations and strategy map, playable female character, special missions and other numerous tweaks and improvements.

Decide your own role and create your own adventure in Blood & Gold!

Those who crave for battles in jungles, raids on rich cities and capturing enemy ships can choose the path of a pirate and a mercenary who will rise to the top, with the help of his own sword.

Those who aren't afraid of the words 'financial planning' may take pleasure in making great deals and expanding their enterprise by choosing the path of a merchant and businessman. Power and wealth can be achieved whichever path you choose.

Of course, if you're tired of fighting and boarding enemy ships, you can always invest your collected savings in good real estate. Or do it the other way around — sell all of your industry, acquire a fine brig and become a pirate.

  • Conquer the Caribbean with your fleet, army and combat experience, as well as your talent of doing business and trading.
  • Naval battles with controllable ships and boarding fights.
  • Building and management of commercial property in towns.
  • Special governor and underground missions: assassinations, arsons, seizure of property, protection of brothels and many more.
  • With blackjack and hookers: take a break and try to make some money by playing cards.

Note: This game may require additional serial key for multiplayer mode. In case it is not automatically generated in your GOG.com library (open it via website → select the game → More → Serial Keys), please reach out to our Support team.

M&B mod with a lot of work

Let's be simple : it's a advanced mod for mount&blade. There is a lot of work in it, the music is great, the time period is quite fun and different from the classic M&B. Then as you play, there are 2 ways to see it. First : "it's a game of 2015". You may be disappointed. It looks and plays like a game of 2010's (M&b WB area) The UI looks dated, there are bugs and crash. It's really hard to get in. The environment compared to some mods are really empty and lifeless. But yet if you're a veteran of M&B maybe you can pass that and enjoy game. Some quest are obscure and punishing, so you better use this quick save a lot. Second : "I love M&B". You may like it. What they made with the engine is impressive. There are flows, some free mods are a lot more fun on some aspects. The gameplay is more punishing than M&b for the first hours. But it's a good way to support the job of the team. If I had to summarize the game : a lot of good ideas, a lot of work (some very well done considering the limitation of the engine) but a very poor realization and user experience.

Rather unpolished

Caribbean attempts to blend the Mount and Blade series with simulators like Port Royale, putting the player in charge of a small army and, depending on the chosen settings, a ship. With little to no guidance as to what to do next, you're free to roam the titular sea, land and island alike in search of fortune. The map is littered with cities, landmarks and fleets, each an interaction for your own story to unfold. Most aspects are easy to pick up, and you can tailor your character to your needs with a plethora of skills and even perks to choose upon levelup. Sadly, the game just lacks polishing in many aspects - in sea battles, your opponent can drastically reduce the crew on your flag ship by hitting your other vessels (even some you literally just captured), the dialogue options and writing leave much to be desired, trading seems rather shallow and having no way to locate governors randomly roaming the map for handing in quests is a design sin worthy of keelhauling. Also, for those of you wondering after how many times one is sick of "what shall we do with a drunken sailor", the answer is about 3. On the other hand, the game shines where M&B excels as well - the combat. Swinging onto a ship, taking out foes with muskets and pistols before drawing a cutlass and having at the enemy crew would likely even make Errol Flynn himself proud. As someone who loved both Mount and Blade and Port Royale, I am really torn on this one. I want to love it to bits, but I can't overlook some of the more glaring issues. It is worth giving a try, especially for those wanting a more maritime spin on Mount and Blade, but it really, really lacks polish for a full recommendation. I do, however, know that this is a game I will likely play in bursts every now and then.

not my game

i played the original Mount&Blade Series games and i like the caribbean setting. that said, i hoped to get a fun game like the old sea dogs or so, but it's just not that good. collisions are strange, long loading times for every menu or screen that gets loading. the ui is also not how i like it. positive aspect is the combat when boarding other ships, i realy liked it, fun combat like the M&B series has....but i then can better play the original series with a good mod than Blood & Gold: Caribbean.

great but annoying

An amazing upgrade to Mount and Blade, except you NEVER can let your character die. If you ever die, the game is over. You will be stripped of all your property, thrown on a random island and not be allowed to leave until you earn money. Which is impossible without an army, which you don't have. The only option you have is to bank enough money VERY early on. If you manage to do this, you'll be fine. But get ready to save-scum your way to savings, or use the magic alt+F4 combo if you selected ironman mode.

Terrible and expensive M&B-Mod

As an owner of all Mount and Blade-titles I had to buy this game too. It sounds interesting enough... and Mount and Blade is a pretty solid basis, as many fine free mods show. What can possibly go wrong with a pirate style Mound and Blade? First: It looks worse than many freely available total conversions (I've never seen such an ugly ocean for example). Landscapes are cheap, cities seem lifeless and unrealistic (compare it to highly atmospheric mods like Sands of Faith or Viking Conquest for example), the menus look terrible, the overviews in cities are just an attrocity. There is no caribbean feeling at all for me in this game. Ship battles are simply boring and unattractive, they feel clunky (Sid Meier's Pirates! had much better sequences), boarding ships seems static and unbelievable (again, compare this to Viking Conquest's much more interesting and beautiful ship mechanics). Then there are enormous loading times for every scene and I simply can't understand the reason. Not worth the money, not even in sale - try some great M&B: Warband-mods instead. There are enough out on moddb.
