Description
BLAZING STAR is a scrolling shooter which was released in 1998 as the sequel to PULSTAR.

Players choose between 6 spaceships with various strengths, and join the endless war between the planets Remuria and Mutras. Players progress through the game by shooting down enemies with split shots and charged-up attacks, and by picking up power up and bonus items. Breaking charged shots will change their attack type, and eliminating enemies with them will lead to high scores. Master all the shooting technics and aim for the highest score!

Not running on Windows 10

I used to play this game on emulators years ago, so I wanted to buy it here and play again. But the game doesn't even run. You click play and a small window appears for a fraction of a second, and closes without any error code or message. So I think GOG team doesn't even make sure if the games work properly on Windows.

It doesnt have Native Controller Support but Gogs customer service had a workaround..

runs badly, but contains the rom

When you open it, it goes too fast and does not recognize controller, but it does have the neogeo bios and blazing star rom inside install folder, it plays well only on emulator. I guess it could be considered a legal way to obtain the rom

happy to have it but not the best port

as other reviews mentioned, there are some speed issues and does not have controller support. the rom and neo geo bios are present, so it's best to play this on an emulator instead. that, or pick up the hamster port on android, which has full controller support, two regions, hi-score mode, and caravan mode. i'm very glad this game is available either way.
