Annoying boss battles
Well, I'm giving up on this game, which overall was a very good one. After 35 hours of play, I'm about 80% through, and now I'm stuck at the 2nd stone guardian, which kills you in 30 seconds. Problem is that to get back to the guardian and try your luck again, you have to travel a "long" distance of around 2-3 minutes, during which you will of course lose 1-2 hit points (and get killed again by the boss in 30 seconds). That's time consuming and just plain annoying. Every boss is basically like this. I can't understand how such bad design decision make their way into the final version of a game. Other than that, the graphics are fine for an Indie game (but personally I don't like the art style). As mentioned by just about everyone, control isn't the best (it's mainly the aiming system with the 2nd D-PAD that's the problem). However, over time you get used to it and it's not really a issue anymore. Anyway, I don't want to bash the game too much, as it's still an excellent Metroidvania overall, but the boss battles kill the fun of the game.
