Description

BioShock Infinite Complete Edition includes the following DLC:

BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea - Episode One
BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea - Episode Two
BioShock Infinite: Clash in the Clouds
BioShock Infinite: Columbia's Finest

Indebted to the wrong people, with his life on the line, veteran of the U.S. Cavalry and now hired gun, Booker DeWitt has only one opportunity to wipe his slate clean. He must rescue Elizabeth, a mysterious girl imprisoned since childhood and locked up in the flying city of Columbia. Forced to trust one another, Booker and Elizabeth form a powerful bond during their daring escape. Together, they learn to harness an expanding arsenal of weapons and abilities, as they fight on zeppelins in the clouds, along high-speed Sky-Lines, and down in the streets of Columbia, all while surviving the threats of the air-city and uncovering its dark secret.

Key Features

  • The City in the Sky – Leave the depths of Rapture to soar among the clouds of Columbia. A technological marvel, the flying city is a beautiful and vibrant world that holds a very dark secret.
  • Unlikely Mission – Set in 1912, hired gun Booker DeWitt must rescue a mysterious girl from the sky-city of Columbia or never leave it alive.
  • Whip, Zip, and Kill – Turn the city’s Sky-Lines into weaponized roller coasters as you zip through the flying city and dish out fatal hands-on punishment.
  • Tear Through Time – Open Tears in time and space to shape the battlefield and turn the tide in combat by pulling weapons, turrets, and other resources out of thin air.
  • Vigorous Powers – Throw explosive fireballs, shoot lightning, and release murders of crows as devastatingly powerful Vigors surge through your body to be unleashed against all that oppose you.
  • Custom Combat Experience – With deadly weapons in one hand, powerful Vigors in the other, and the ability to open Tears in time and space, fight your own way through the floating city of Columbia to rescue Elizabeth and reach freedom.
  • 1999 Mode – Upon finishing BioShock Infinite, the player can unlock a game mode called “1999 Mode” that gives experienced players a taste of the kind of design and balance that hardcore gamers enjoyed back in the 20th century.

I'm not kidding, it's beyond great

Listen to no detractors of this game. It's a masterpiece; an absolute masterpiece. I've been playing video games since Pong came on the market and this one ranks up as #1 in my book. The reason is that for a game to be great or destined to be an essential game in game history it has to cover all the bases. Namely, the story has to be engaging and this one is as engaging a story as I've ever played. Filled with fantasy, mystery and intrigue, it's richness is revealed slowly to a fantastic, inevitable conclusion. Secondly. the game should have action and Bio Infinity has plenty of it and the boss encounters, although they could be a little more difficult, are still challenging without being overbearing. Dialog is important and the dialog in this gem leads you through the story just enough for you to continue wanting more. Lastly, the mechanics. How anyone could complain about game mechanics for this one is beyond me. The ground breaking mascot system is quite stunning having not quite been achieved like this prior. The "mascot" is not only a tag along character but is integral to the story itself. Not only that but there is an intimate involvement not only in the character but in the game mechanics. The environments are first class as you move through a perfect society to watching that society utterly break down because of a far more deeper reason then you are led to believe. Trust me, if you play this and can't find any of this true, go see your psychiatrist because you may be insane.

Why do people like this game?

I honestly don't get why this is such a well reviewed game. Formulaic, simplistic, unimaginative gameplay. Derivative story and characters. The world is just basically the negative connotation of Americana on steroids, not exactly original. And its basically just linear checkpoint game to little voice acted cutscenes. The only positives I can think of is that it really does look beautiful and the voice acting is pretty good. But why you'd want to slog through boring and repetitive shooting galleries just to hear a voice acted checkpoint cutscene, with vacuous dialogue is beyond me. If you liked the other bioshock games and you want more of that, you'll probably like this one. But really don't expect much more than what was done before.

the game that revived fps genre for me

i must say this game changed my perspective on fps i always played competitive fps games such as cod or cs and then i ... well this happened. i remember playing this at my cousins place because they had a very good tv and well lets just say they werent interested in games my cousin himself sayed he outgrew them and then the visuals grabbed their attention and then the soundtrack and he played a little and next thing i now i wake up from my afternoon nap and my cousin is playing and elizabeth doesnt have a ponytail just gonna say viewchanger its just fantastic it immerses you in the world of the game just dont break immersion and finish the game in one to three settings you dont have to find everything on the first playthrough actually replaying for finding every little detail is one of the joys of the game i played the game back when it came out on xbox 360 and well no dlc but i hear they are good just bad offline save system or was it my xbox clock anyway bad big daddy equivalent, dont like the handyman but songbird is simply hair raising and in one word FANTASTICO

Greatst Bioshock game

And one of the greatest ever games. Great upgrade system, very colorful and beautiful visuals, immersive story with possibly the best ending in video games history. Only thing I dislike is the lack of weapons you can use at once, it is made for a fast and reactive combat so it has 2 powers/weapons that you can switch, the powers you can assign which ones you want to quick switch at all times but the weapons you have to pick up from other places so you can switch them in combat. All in all it is great, the DLCs are amazing and offer you a completely new perspective and way of playing and if you adore the combat like I did there is also a combat based DLC in which you can defeat waves after waves, as if you were a doctor and the waves are covid.

Major disappointment.

The main game gameplay is typical of a FPS but like the original Bioshock you have powers in the form of vigors. But unlike the original Bioshock You can't carry all your weapons and it's much more linear. The first issue you would notice with the game is that the citizens in this game are set-dressing as they offer nothing and do nothing but stare at you. The story of this game is all over the place and you can tell that it revels in being overly complicated. It's not enough that they involve you going to other universes but also all the universes that are in the game doesn't make sense. For example, at one point in the game you go to a universe where Booker is helping a revolution on Columbia but that Booker died so though the rest of the game you stay in that universe but yet you don't meet the Elizabeth of that universe. Just some of the bigger plot holes of this game. This game might have been better if Elizabeth was the protagonist and it was a adventure game instead of a fps but who knows.
