A missed opportunity
I owned this game on the playstation 3. I got it for my birthday, when I was around 37 and I managed to finish it in one day. David Cage games are sometimes interesting, but often predictable. I've played and owned Indigo Prophecy, Heavy Rain, Beyond & Detroit: become human. Coming off of Heavy Rain, one of the most depressing games ever made and with terrible French actors, who are trying to pass off English accents: Beyond Two Souls is a big step up..As with Indigo Prophecy--I found myself wondering, where David Cage gets his information. Anyway, There were aspects of the game that I did like; like the "stealth" segments. Howecer, the game falls flat here, the stealth segments are too short and they are effectively another version of Simon Says--as in; hit the prompts when you're told to. You can't actually die in this game either. David Cage, gives me the impression that he's not sure if he wants to make movies or games. At the end of the day: a game is a game and if it doesn't play well; it'll suffer for it. Like I said: where does David Cage get his information? The story involves MK Ultra type stuff and Governments discover other dimensions, which the plan to invade and conquer and I was sitting there, rolling my eyes and I thought: and people wonder why we've not happen open contact yet. It's a well acted story, though convoluted and disjointed. If you're going to get it--$11 now would be the time.

Beyond 2 playthroughs
Before DETROIT: BECOME HUMAN, this used to be Quantic Dream's most fun game. Like with any of their games, it has good character models and visuals. Performances are solid, although some dialogue and scenarios can be a bit silly or goofy. Character progression is very straight forward, gameplay favors exploration (in some cases it forces it in order to progress the story). Controls are decent enough, I just hope that some game bugs have been ironed out. It has different endings depending on the choices you made through the game and in some cases, certain choices in a chapter can change your route alltogether. Good acting, nice visuals and a decent story led me to replay this game several when it first came out, I reckon I should get it now that its on GOG for nostalgia's sake. As previously stated, if you have previously played a Quantic Dream game then you know what to expect from B2S regarding mechaincs, storytelling, choices and consequences. If not, then buckle up cause its going to be an interesting, bumpy and strange ride. P.S. dont take this game too seriously cause it doesnt take itself seriously at times
