... for the controls, which are not exactly subtle (PC). ... for the fact that you can get nasty bugs if you do not play the quests in the order they are given. ... for that you can die, because one of your sidekicks stands in your way. ... for that you cannot save where you want. I think a game which is ment for children (7+) should not force the player to "must play", because you have to repeat a lot if you don´t. ... for suddenly changes of perspective which also changes the direction for control. But: it is really worth playing!

BGE was bundled with my new graphics card back when it was released. Else I probably would have missed out on this game, simply because it somehow went under the radar. And since it was free and I never heard or read about it, I could enjoy it completely unbiased, which is not often the case with games or even more so movies. BGE has earned a special place in my memory. Somehow I wish there was a sequel to this franchise.

Due to the fact that Beyond Good and Evil was described as an adventure game, I thought that it was a 3D point and click adventure. I don't like point and click adventure games, so I was pleasantly surprised that it is actually an adventure game like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time! The story and setting are completely different, but it retains many of the same elements. It is a great game! Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

This is one of the most beautiful and enjoyable games I've played. Story, atmosphere, gameplay, music - almost everything is perfect. PC port is a bit clanky, but it is certainly playable.

I was lucky enough to have this game and finished it on my original xbox about 10 or more years ago, I am so glad this game eventually came to PC and I can replay it in high quality.
