Take part in a roller coaster of emotions with Louise embarking on a road trip of a lifetime through the late 1960s USA, trying to show her son Mitch how to navigate the often cruel modern world.
Telling good from bad was never easy, all the less when you're a single mum in her late 20s with a clever 8-year-old under your care. Each choice you make in the crucial few moments we all know may change our lives for good in a split of a second, influence what kind of person Mitch turns out to be and what values shall guide him once he becomes his own man.
Find clues as to why Louise’s life is what it is today, take crucial decisions no other person would be strong enough to stomach, and show Mitch what he needs to see in order for him to become independent, suave, and brave enough to conquer the day.
Your decisions REALLY matter! To keep track of Mitch’s growth as a person, each choice you make adds positive or negative points to three key statistics: Righteousness, Confidence, and Relations. These influence which type of ending Mitch will reach at the end of the game - there are 9 unique endings in total!
The 1960s were tumultuous in more ways than one - the Summer of Love, the Vietnam War, the survivors and the losers of the great upheaval in history.
Canned Heat was “Going Up the Country” while Bob Dylan asked “How does it feel” to have no home and live on the street.
Travel across the country and meet a plethora of characters that may help or may dissuade Louise from her goals - including the most controversial groups many thought long gone.
It'll Be The Best Month Ever! is a complete collection of 29 beautiful, expressive, folk, country and jazz-inspired melodies prepared by the composer Jędrzej Bączyk (Pan Jędras). The stunning, nearly 80-minute original soundtrack is an excellent addition to the narrative adventure game, creating the musical soundscape of the main characters' journey across the 1960s USA.

A flawed, yet beautiful, tale of a mother and her son.

Our thoughts on Best Month Ever are mostly positive. The gameplay is more like a TellTales esque game mixed with point and click mechanics. It doesn’t have a ton of gameplay in it aside from minigames and walking from point A to point B. The sound design is phenomenal with voice acting that helps you feel the emotional weight of this narrative driven title. The graphics mixed with the camera angles are solid. The game could have been improved upon with character art for portraits to help us see the expressions of the characters. Overall we recommend this game unless you have issues with games that include moments of Racism, Sexism and emotional abuse. The narrative of this game has some ridiculously good high and low moments that help expand on the characters themselves. You won’t regret playing this game and seeing the effect a mother has on her child.

Obvious BLM and leftist propaganda
So this "game" tells the story of a terminally ill white mother who was impregnated by a black man and bore his child. The fact that she's now a single mom is certainly accurate, but much of the other happenings in the game are pure science fiction designed to appeal to frothing leftists and progressives. Just about all white people in the game are portrayed as evil racists, and the main characters even have a run-in with the KKK of all things, which is ridiculous at best and was shoehorned in as a way to insert a white bogeyman that the characters can kill and feel like they've done something meaningful. They manage to offensively stereotype Native Americans, but hey who cares because as long as black people are portrayed as wonderful, brave, smart, and upstanding then screw everyone else, right? And the priest in the game? Yep, he's a pedophile. But that's ok, because again stereotyping others is fine, as long as you don't dare stereotype those marevlous black people. What a joke.
