This game is awesome for a lot of reasons. It has intelligent humor, the puzzles are fun and not frustrating, the game is not awful long, and this game has been imitated in gameplay in a lot of modern adventure games, and even in plot. Wadjet eye games are pretty simillar (Gemini Rue, Primordia..), especially Technobabylon, wich is almost a non official remake of this game. This game is a must for every adventure fan.
Short, fun, and visually consistent.
This is one of the adventure games I've had the most fun with, although the voice acting is not that good, the plot keeps you wanting to know more.
FUN
10/10 – honestly no idea of what I was going in for with this game, never played it growing up and is from 1994 and a point n click game. But so glad I looked all past that and opened my mind up to playing it as it turned out to be a great game and well worth the time.
SOUND
7/10 – sound was fine for a DOS game even if emulated, no issues there, was actually surprised how well they did some sounds.
STORY
10/10 – highly rated by me especially being an Aussie, I could handle the Aussie references and understood them but for anyone not in Aussie land, it is understandable if you scratch your head at what the heck they on about but story defiantly cut the mustard overall and I was very satisfied once I finished game with story.
GRAPHICS
2/10 – DOS game so limited capabilities naturally, however more than capable of pulling it off especially given it’s age, so 2 yes only due to this but in no way disappointed with it.
DIFFICULTY
8/10 – For me was hard but got the hang of it then was okay, traditionally not a big click n point gamer, so had to adjust then was able to learn okay, challenging but got you to think which was great to be honest, so enjoyed the challenge to challenge yourself to learn.
BUGS
For me, I didn’t encounter any during my play through.
LENGTH OF GAME
Long enough for me to feel satisfied, didn’t time my play through though so exactly not sure, long enough for a DOS game though.
21:9 ULTRA WIDE SCREEN CAPABLE
No, clearly not
OUTCOME
Very satisfied with the purchase of this game and loved playing it, story was great and fulfilling and very happy to have achieved learning and completing this game.
Did I have fun? Sure did.
Very good game with a easy user interface which is perfect for starting on this genre.
Graphics is comic book style : you like it or not.
Story is good and puzzles are not illogical.
And it's free : thank to the devs !
Go play it.
