Description
Continue your adventure at Burgmeister & Royce in the second season of Being a DIK.
Season 2 expands upon the base game with bigger episodes than before.
This DLC includes:
Close to 14 000 static images and more than 900 animated scenes
An engaging story
129 new songs
58 special 2D art pieces
New mini-games and features
Plenty of lewd scenes with various girls
One playthrough of this DLC is expected to take 12-16 hours, which only scratches the included content's surface due to the branching storylines.
Being a DIK - Season 2 includes Episodes 5-8.
Episode 5 - HOTheaded
The DIKs evaluate Hell Week, but their plans suddenly change when an arrangement is canceled. Jill and Isabella try to comfort Cathy, and Josy is scared of the consequences of running away from home.
Episode 6 - Damage Control
Quinn is handling a pressing situation while the DIKs face the aftermath of the Hell Week evaluation. The HOT daughters make the final push to complete their scavenger hunt, and Tybalt has a proposition for Jill.
Episode 7 - True Colors
The HOTs are throwing a party and the DIKs struggle with boredom. Some sudden dorm life changes affect relationships, and Isabella tries her best to help Jill with a problem.
Episode 8 - Crossroads
Midterms loom around the corner and there is a Halloween party to plan. The immediate future stresses out Rusty, Sage feels nervous to ask for help, and you have tough choices to make.
Being a DIK: Season 3 will continue the story and be released and sold separately as DLC.
The game graphically depicts sex, usage of drugs and violence. The story is not intended for players being in a dark period of their lives. If you are easily offended or just looking for a fun game only, this game is not for you.
This game is amazing. It captivates you. You literally feel like you're involved in it. The scenes are very well done. The story is brilliant and the characters are exceptional.
I own a long list of AVN/VN games and this is the best of the lot
College Kings. City of Broken Dreamers. Treasure of Nadia. Acting Lessons (led me to B.A.D) and Deliverance are all good titles too and worthy of playing
Don't just take my word for it. Play it. You like me, will be dying for season 3 to come out
I'm reviewing season two, so you likely already know whether you like the game or not and I assume you're wondering whether you should continue after season 1 left you hanging a bit (that's what I remember). You may be wondering if season two will do that to you again. The answer is no, it won't and yes, it's worth continuing despite the series having 4 planned seasons to conclude the story.
If you play like you're not playing a harem game, you can get a great conclusion depending on the main girl you go with. Season 2 has a potentially very satisfying story arc romantically and platonically depending on choices. Emotionally the game has a great ending and sexually, the author really ramps things up. I will give you a hint, for a great ending... always look for your guitar wherever you stay. It may be out of view.
Really, my biggest negative is the love of feet and stockings that the author has that he injects without consent into my story. Even in DIK mode, you get some of it and it annoys me. Still, this is easily one of the best visual novels available.
It'll probably be a couple of years before Season 3 comes out (the author is working on episode 10 after having finished episode 9 in January), so it will be some time before the overall story is finished. Luckily season 2 was satisfying and hence why I'd recommend if season 1 left you freaking out and feeling frustrated with the cliff hanger.
Was impressed with season 1 and had high hopes for season 2 -- and was not disappointed. Good story and character development continue with the sequel. There are a ton more renders, a host of mini-games (new and old), and plenty more laugh-out-loud moments (there's a special "Dungeons & Dragons" spoof sequence in the game that literally had me laughing until I cried).
The quality of this series so far cannot be understated, especially when I discovered the entire thing is being developed by one...single...guy! Talk about a dynamo! Dr. PinkCake has put together a couple of games that easily outshine many of those with fully-staffed development teams. Keep up the stellar work, Dr. PinkCake!
This game is amazing. It has adult content - but this is not the most important part of the game.
Writing is top notch - it is better than most of the AAA games. It is a pity that we need so long for next episodes.
