A young man from a low-income family moves away from his widowed father and his summer love to attend college at Burgmeister & Royce. As he is cast into freshman life and persuaded to join the up-and-coming fraternity Delta Iota Kappa, he'll be exposed to a new world filled with conflicts, alcohol, drugs and sex.
Being a DIK is a choice-driven adult Visual Novel (VN).
In this game, you play as a young male attending college, and the choices you make will affect the characters around you and shape your character and adventure.
Will you choose to play as a nice, caring and romantic guy or as someone more straightforward and daring?
The girls in the game have different values and may or may not be attracted to you based on your choices. Can you resist the temptations along the way to get the girl of your dreams or will you relent and just...experiment? Hey, it's college, after all!
The game is a Visual Novel and it's made more interactive through optional mini-games and free-roam events where you can explore the current environment. You can purchase boosters, cheats and skills to make the mini-games easier to pass and find hidden items that unlock special lewd artwork and more.
Being a DIK Season 1 includes Episodes 1-4:
Episode 1 - The Initiation
Episode 2 - Maggot Brothers
Episode 3 - 100%
Episode 4 - When worlds collide
Season 1 is packed with 361 animated scenes and over 8000 images.
You can expect an 8-12 hour game that you can replay numerous times to experience different paths and girls.
Being a DIK: Season 2, and future seasons, will continue the story and be released and sold separately as DLC.
The game graphically depicts sex, usage of drugs and violence. The story is not intended for players being in a dark period of their lives. If you are easily offended or just looking for a fun game only, this game is not for you.
All sexual acts in the game are consensual.

This game... is bad.
TECHNICAL
It's utter trash from a technical standpoint. I remember playing games like this in 2007 on the Internet for free. A slideshow with images and some "choices" that gave you "points". No voice acting, 2D pre-rendered.
This game was released in 2020 and its sequel in 2022. This game has spawned a plethora of 2D slideshow games.
Did I miss something? It's like going back in time to the immaturity of early Internet era. Even back then people wanted "GTA San Andreas but with flirting", but no, we just got sleazy 2D slideshow games.
THE GAME
This game is so weird. You're basically a barbie Ken doll in the Barbie house. Whoever says that this game has "depth" has probably never interacted with a physical human being their whole life.
Avoide
This is without a doubt the most disgusting game I have encountered.
I expected virtual novel with dating, the development of friendships, with, of course, nude scenes for dessert.
I'm straight, so I expected FEMALE nudity.
What do we get?
Graphics - the author doesn't really know what people look like (the bodies of most characters are distorted, not natural).
Erotic scenes - most of the nudity is male. I'm straight, so the sight of various male... pieces is disgusting to me, and the game forces you to watch it, through long dialogues. To keep from throwing up, you have to cover the monitor or scroll through the dialogues. The game should give you a choice of orientation, not force you to be gay or bi.
But that's still nothing.
Far worse is the atmosphere of the game itself. There is basically no normal life there. There is a pathological environment full of sexual violence, no human feelings.
It's generally about students who don't have money to live comfortably, so they want to get housing from student groups organized like mobs. In exchange they are expected to accept brutal, inhumane treatment, prostitution, libations, public sex with random partners.
And I am supposed to be the boy in the game, whose beloved girl easily accepts such extreme humiliation. And I am supposed to continue to respect her, like her, etc.
No character will even think about getting a scholarship, a student loan, to get a job. The girl prefers to get into a student group that will make her not even a prostitute, something far below that level.
I understand that there are couples who like slightly dislocated forms of sex - that's fine, as long as both parties are willing to accept it and it makes them happy.
But here is hideous breaking people's character, making them slaves. And still some characters in the game explain that this is great, because after destroying the psyche, you gain "great friends".
All in all this is not a game for a sane person.
5 star reviews: All new users, the only review they ever did
Overall score: 3.4 out of 5, yet not a single negative review in the list.
Apart from having to stoop to the level of now adding content like this, GOG seems to allow them to artificially bump their own score too. Wonder how many were real buyers to have it show up in the top 5 bestseller list lol.
