Overall a good game
Good open world game, well designed game system, and still impressive eternal night of Gotham city. This open world has no daylight, it's eternal night but this actually makes the game feel even more appealing, that's because bats only belong and always move in the dark. Graphics is still pretty good though and game runs smoothly. However one of the greatest weakness of this game is its combat, this also applies to all Batman series. Playing on keyboard and mouse, it's almost merely QTE style combat, clicking mouse right and left buttons and that's basically all you need to do. Combat and fight is the most critical aspect in a game, together with its world designs. The combat of Batman game unfortunately, crippled this wonderful game. Making it at least to my criteria, not the same level of game as Witcher 3 and Skyrim. I would only rate it as 8.5/10, because of the combat. This is for Arkham city. For the Batman: Arkham Knight, there's possibly leakage in memory which causes super high consumption of RAM. My 8gb RAM simply cannot support the game. After running for 2 mins, the game become stuck and have to log out of operating system to quit the game. Generally my feelings of Batman series: - Asylum: Linear game with a little better graphics comparing to Arkham City. But the graphics is a little "animation" like. - Arkham City: Good small sized open world with eternal darkness of night. Impressive graphics. Very mediocre combat system which reduces the entire score. - Arkham Knight: Crippled game, worst system design. May not even be playable if you get less than 8gb memory. This one actually "fails the exam"!
