Barony

Barony is an entertaining little time waster. It plays very intuitively, I haven't found, read or needed a manual. And it's fun to get the basics. In the beginning the game is quite challenging, but when you get to know the rules, proceed carefully and survive a few levelups, you become strong enough to get to poke the troll back and even survive those nasty traps. The game's graphics and audio are fully sufficient imho, as I prefer gameplay to flashy stuff. I haven't tried multiplayer yet, but still think it was a well-invested 10 bucks!

Looks like a mod for Minecraft, but plays like a classic first person dugeon crawler. The dugeon is brutal, but the options to tackle challeges are vast, e.g. many forms of magic, bows, followers, stealth, even robots and traps. No level requirements for gear, no restrictions on what you can use/equip, but items are usually cursed and dangerous to use. I higly recommend the DLCs too. Many more options for playable races and classes.

I'd like to see a more intuitive and optimized UI/UX for XInput players. And if I have to add something if I were the developers, is the ability to jump and maybe crouch/duck. Those are all my complaints for now. Apart from that, The artstyle, especially in characters, is what I really wanted to see in Minecraft from the start, or maybe in an accurately future 3D Terraria.

I really enjoy this game. I have had several good times playing this game with other people. It will be nice to see what updates the developer has for us to make the game even better.

Bought this game to play online coop. No online coop on the GoG version.
