BG3 is incredible, wonderful, engrossing. There is so much to do, and no "right" way to do things, that I actually got overwhelmed by possibilities. My first playthrough was 147 hours, and I'm currently doing a second playthrough because I want to play a super-strong gnome who throws enemies around. The graphics are great and the music and sound and voiceover acting are equally great. I'm just dumbfounded by how good this game is. I played BG1 and BG2 when they first came out and loved those, and I was hesitant to try this because those games were nearly perfect. Well this is just straight up perfect. Five stars, no notes.
So I pirated this game, beat it, and bought it, even though I couldn't really afford it.
It was still somewhat unpolished at the time of release, but after patch #5 it's quite magnificent, with a proper epilogue and most of the bugs fixed. I expect it will only get better, though it already is the best gaming experience I've had since The Witcher 3.
Fingers crossed Larian does an Icewind Dale sequel.
What you get here is the early access of BG 3. Its the first act with a few classes and races (NOT ALL OF THEM!). Read about whats more in this before getting so you are sure you want to take part in early access!
Now the game as it is now is fun. Its rough around the edges in some parts. When it comes to performance and optimization for me its good. The games looks great and it runs well. So far had one crash but its not the final version of the game. There are also glitches and bugs!
THEY ARE STILL WORKING ON THE GAME SO HOLD OFF WITH YOUR REVIEWS!
Even in early access, I am having more fun with this game than other recent RPGS. From interactable cutscenes for every dialogue with NPCs, to the new and exciting combat system, it feels great to play. I have not encountered any crashes or serious bugs. Can't wait for the full release! Already game of the year for me.
Awesome game even being in beta. Of course, there are lots of unfinished stuff and bugs, but anyway it gives now many hours of enjoy. It has interesting story and gameplay. The only minus I found is that I need to buy a new computer instead of my laptop to run it. This game is hard for GTX 970M. It runs but with small freezes in next location after the ship.
