I have played this game since 2020, and have loved all the different things you can do and be in this game. I was really looking forward to seeing where the plot would go and what was the reviel to the mysteries in the game. Although I loved my time with the game, some of the execution left me wanting. Certain story elements seem to come out of nowhere just to fill a need to push the plot forward, and without mush depth the elemts were resolved and now onto the next plot point.
Loved the game, especially the actual playing of the game mechanics, a good overall plotline and resolution. Very sudden plot points to get there though.
Title says it all. Constant crashes, I'm sure this game is good but I'm lucky to get 30mins before it quits to windows or hard restarts my PC. Never had an issue with early access version so I'm not sure what's going on, perhaps they changed something for the console release which doesn't play well with my system? I'm not running a potato either, RTX2070Super, i7-10700k, 32GB DDR4, NVMe SDD. At this point you're taking a gamble, as of now (11/09/2023) some people have no issues and for others its unplayable. Larian have suggested fixes on their website, other players have shared their tips for getting it to run, nothing has worked for me.
Give it 6 months I'm sure it'll be fixed but I've been waiting 2yrs for full release. Very disappointing.
Baldurs Gate III really keeps surprising me again and again. To me, the atmosphere is amazing, I really feel like being part of the world. The story is a little overwhelming because I'm not that much into reading every dialogue and every book. But the soundtrack is just beautiful, the fights are very diverse and stay interesting, graphics are great, even on my older PC (from 2020). Last but not least, I keep getting moments where I'm awestruck due to the powers in play, due to the characters being so individual in their personalities and due to the unbelievable love to detail and creative ideas Larian put into this game.
To me, Baldurs Gate III is the best game released for at least 20 years. I can't wait playing it again once I finished my first playthrough. You did an awesome job, Larian Studios.
Everytime I think I am done with the game, I come back. I do wish they would have added a dlc or something. Just so much game here. Wish more games were like this. It's worth buying on gog just so that Larian gets a bigger cut. You guys are awesome. This game reminds me of what gaming used to be and what it should be.
