Gather your party, and return to the Forgotten Realms in a tale of fellowship and betrayal, sacrifice and survival, and the lure of absolute power.
Mysterious abilities are awakening inside you, drawn from a Mind Flayer parasite planted in your brain. Resist, and turn darkness against itself. Or embrace corruption, and become ultimate evil.
From the creators of Divinity: Original Sin 2 comes a next-generation RPG, set in the world of Dungeons and Dragons.
Choose from a wide selection of D&D races and classes, or play as an origin character with a hand-crafted background. Adventure, loot, battle and romance as you journey through the Forgotten Realms and beyond. Play alone, and select your companions carefully, or as a party of up to four in multiplayer.
Abducted, infected, lost. You are turning into a monster, but as the corruption inside you grows, so does your power. That power may help you to survive, but there will be a price to pay, and more than any ability, the bonds of trust that you build within your party could be your greatest strength. Caught in a conflict between devils, deities, and sinister otherworldly forces, you will determine the fate of the Forgotten Realms together.
Forged with the new Divinity 4.0 engine, Baldur’s Gate 3 gives you unprecedented freedom to explore, experiment, and interact with a world that reacts to your choices. A grand, cinematic narrative brings you closer to your characters than ever before, as you venture through our biggest world yet.
The Forgotten Realms are a vast, detailed and diverse world, and there are secrets to be discovered all around you -- verticality is a vital part of exploration. Sneak, dip, shove, climb, and jump as you journey from the depths of the Underdark to the glittering rooftops of the Upper City. How you survive, and the mark you leave on the world, is up to you.
allows you to combine your forces in combat, and split your party to follow your own quests and agendas. Concoct the perfect plan together… or introduce an element of chaos when your friends least expect it.
offer a hand-crafted experience, each with their own unique traits, agenda, and outlook on the world. Their stories intersect with the entire narrative, and your choices will determine whether those stories end in redemption, salvation, domination, or many other outcomes.

allows you to pause the world around you at any time even outside of combat. Whether you see an opportunity for a tactical advantage before combat begins, want to pull off a heist with pin-point precision, or need to escape a fiendish trap. Split your party, prepare ambushes, sneak in the darkness -- create your own luck!
It's a game with an amazing story line, and very high replayablility with different choices vastly changing the game. Different choices means different stratagies. I can't rate this game highly enough.
Plenty have been said already, but I'll just add my praises to the pile. A fantastic adventure with great group of companions, varied and fun turn-based gameplay, lovely locales and topnotch writing.
Definately worth a playthrough or five for any lover of fantasy or rpgs in general. Great entry to the genre for new players as well, the mechanics are fairly complex but starting out on easier difficulties will smooth the learning experience and you might end up like many ohers and do many, many playthroughs because of the massive amount of iteration the quests and character arcs have.
Baldur's Gate 3 is a visual masterpiece, boasting stunning graphics that capture the intricate details of its fantastical world. The landscapes and character designs are truly a feast for the eyes, drawing players into its vibrant universe. However, the user interface leaves much to be desired. It's a bit of a labyrinth, often making simple tasks feel unnecessarily complicated and hindering the overall gameplay experience.
The game excels in providing players with near-boundless freedom in their choices, allowing for a highly personalized adventure. Unfortunately, this sense of immersion is somewhat dampened by modern elements that feel out of place in the classic fantasy setting. While Baldur's Gate 3 may not quite reach the heights of Divinity: Original Sin 2, it still stands out as one of the best releases in recent years, offering a rich and engaging experience that surpasses most contemporary RPGs.
Being a huge fan of RPGs for many decades--I began D&D in 1981--I finally decided to play BG3 after having heard it was phenomenal because of gameplay, story, graphics, etc. It took more hard drive space than I thought, but it runs perfectly on my laptop. Everything from the music to the combat system is blowing my mind. And since I love D&D 5e above all others, BG3 is the perfect way to enjoy that game system with a full party...all from the convenience of my apartment (and no worries about players' schedules). I'm not too far into it yet, but already it's proven it was worth the investment! I highly recommend this!
I have been playing Dungeons and Dragons for almost forty years. The original Baldur's Gate blew my mind when I first played it. The second one was also great (and Planescape Torment, etc.) BG3 is a HUGE leap forward in CRPGs, however. On nights when my players cancel, or when I have a few hours to kill, it is amazing to me that I can almost capture the feel of playing honest-to-goodness D&D. It doesn't quite scratch the itch of playing at a table with real players, but it is as close as I can imagine. If you haven't tried it yet, (and it is hard to believe that anyone interested in computer role playing games hasn't already played it!) I HIGHLY recommend it.
