£30 for a 20 year old game
That hasn't even been remastered in any way whatsoever. Jesus Christ nerd culture needs to die.

Outstanding then, outstanding now
Loved this game back in the day, and was extremely happy to hear it was coming for pc. Obviously wanted the GOG version, and am loving every minute of it. The game itself isn't overly complex, and if I'm remembering right, is roughly based on dungeons and dragons 3rd edition stuff (i think). The pc port hasn't missed in a beat in my opinion. Just as enjoyable and replayable as I remember. Definitely a keeper, and absolutely worth it. Really hoping they port II to PC (and GOG) as well! Here's to hoping.

Great ARPG
Never had console and always wanted to play this game on PC. Played it around 20 hours now and very satisfied. I just like this style of graphics and gameplay. Reminds me of Oblivion and Avencast. Of course, only the name makes BG:DA related with Baldur's Gate (with which BG3 also has nothing to do. BG saga has ended after Throne of Bhaal actually, so BG3 is a blasphemy). Still BG:DA is great ARPG. About price. It's not fair to compare modern AAA games with this one only by price. AAA is all about budget and huge amount of stupid VFX that prevents you from seeing what's going on at the screen. Most modern and also expensive games are just garbage. You buy it, played 10 minutes and forget about it. This game was made to be played, not just to be bought. And does anyone really think that GOG must sell at a loss? With such attitude there will be no company at all. So I intentionally decided to support GOG now. They give us many Good Old Games and often at a very low cost.

Great port on Linux!
Besides needing to limit the frame rate to 60 with strangle (and fix its compilation) - it runs great and my son and I were able to play the 13 hour campaign co-op and we had a great time with controllers. Others are talking about it being expensive, but that's has nothing to to do with the game itself. Buy it or don't but I'm glad I did, and it's still a great game despite being 22 years old at time of writing, I had so much fun with my son. It's worth it! It would be very cool later if the game was made open source, so enthusiasts could have fun modifying it.
