Permanently upgrade your farm house for bonuses that persist across playthroughs.

BEFRIEND. Rescue an entourage of pig pals, chicken chums and cow colleagues to automate farming tasks. Cultivating atomicrops is a tough job, you'll need all the help you can get. Adopt a variety of bizarre cats to live on your farmhouse.

Modern city life got you down? Well, you've just inherited your late uncle's farm. Time to pack your bags and start fresh in the peaceful countryside. What could possibly go wrong? A nuclear apocalypse, that's what. Now you're in a hellscape wasteland defending the last surviving source of sustenance - your crops. And every mutant wants a piece. Do as any self-respecting farmer would: Farm. Marry. Kill.

Atomicrops is an action roguelite farming simulator. Armed with your hoe, a watering pail, and a simple peashooter, you must grow mutated crops - atomicrops - to feed the local town… and make a hefty profit. Defend your land from the mutant pests and bandits that invade nightly to ravage your fields. Court and wed townsfolk to fight and farm by your side. Gather upgrades and rescue captured farm animals to increase productivity, profits and power. Develop your farmhouse for persistent bonuses across playthroughs to help secure your place on the leaderboards.

On the surface, Atomicrops is a retro-inspired, top-down 16-bit shooter. However, even early stages start to reveal a much deeper experience, filled with love interests, guns, and unrelenting enemies. Perks can become permanent down the road, but the path to getting there is fulfilling and enough to keep you returning after each defeat for more crop production and bullet fire.

I'm a person who likes having the resources of tutorials and hints; if you are like me, I'm sorry to say you won't find that here. Other than a sweet old man who meets his untimely death in the very beginning of this game, you have no help or direction on how to play. The art, bosses, and wacky soundtrack are big pluses, as they give those good retro vibes and never feel outdated. Overall, Atomicrops isn't for everyone, but for people who are fans of the genre they'll definitely find a lot to enjoy.

Stardew Valley meets Enter the Gungeon

Far more addicting than it has any right to be. I will echo the sentiment of others that at times the game can feel like a grind - Cornacopeias should be a bit eaiser to amass than they are, mainly because one full year in the game takes an hour and some change to run through. I still love it though.

great replayabulity and unlocks

only real complaint is that farming can be a little annoying at times, because of the controls. when you finish planting a stack of seeds you have to release and press the buton again to keep planting the next stacks of seeds. but the game doesn't really get old or repetitive and there are a bunch of unlocks for permanant progression

I am hooked

I played this game so much I have to gove it a review. The loop is short, fast and fun. The wepons and gampley are top notch. I haven't had this much fun playing in a long time

Pretty good, no end in sight

Much improved from the original release going by the earlier reviews. Fun and engaging game, but I can't see any way to complete it or reach and end state without sinking multiple weeks of sleepless nights into this so I have to stop now and uninstall it. Progression still seems weird in that I can grow the maximum required ammount of food per season every time but can't afford new guns each day which seems neccecary to succeed. Having the shop offer a lower tier cheaper gun might help. Still annoyed I can't get through even the first season of year 2.

Cozy as Stardew, and Destructive as Doom

one of the best roguelites out there, the graphics, the difficulty, the crazyness are all on the perfect spot, congrats. I once tried to play on my xbox, but it got out of the gamepass, now that i bought it, its amazing.
