Trudograd is a stand-alone story expansion to Atom RPG - a turn-based roleplaying game set in post-apocalyptic Soviet Union.
It is inspired by classic cRPG titles of the past, such as early Fallout, Wasteland and Baldur’s Gate series.
22 years ago the USSR and the Western Bloc destroyed each other in a nuclear inferno. Millions died instantly, society collapsed and technology was sent back into the Middle Ages. You are a member of ATOM – an organization tasked with protecting the post-apocalyptic remnants of humanity.
Two years ago you – a rookie agent of ATOM – were sent on a dangerous mission into the Soviet Wastes. As a result, you uncovered certain information about a new threat that can potentially destroy the struggling remnants of humanity.
In Atom RPG: Trudograd your goal is to travel to a giant post-apocalyptic metropolis that withstood the tests of nuclear obliteration and social collapse. There you must find what is thought to be humanity’s last hope in fending off the menace from outer space!
Trudograd features:
A large city with its own lore and dozens of varying locations to fight, trade, talk and explore in;
A hardcore turn-based experience with huge amounts of character development paths, combat styles, skills, perks and distinctions;
Unique characters each with their own personality and a robust branching dialogue;
Multiple-solution quests, which actively change the city around you;
Ability to transfer your hero from our previous game (Atom RPG);
An easy game to pick up. While Trudograd is a continuation of the first game’s plot, it is also friendly towards new players, and will quickly fill you in on the lore and major developments you might have missed;
A result of a two year long community effort, made by players for players. This game encompasses a lot of changes from our previous title, that were inspired by user feedback.
We really hope you will enjoy Atom RPG: Trudograd!

I bought Trudograd on Android and it was crashing from time to time, always on base after full redecoration! I wrote for help to support 5 times , received ZERO help. The did not even replied!
So I bought PC version and transfered my saves... and it was file for 10h gameplay and after leving senatorium bunker, map, locations, NPCs EVERYTHING was reset!!! I AM FURIOUSE ABOUT THIS CR*P!
...although I only played it for 5 minutes after I skipped all the dialogue without reading it. Then tried to get a key to get out of my bedroom, but didn't have the patience to pick the lock.
Perhaps I'll play again if it ever gets better. Overall it seems pretty good. Well done.
To start off, I feel like it's missing tons of content right now, f.e. a whole map populated by only two people (Police Station), not counting not interactable passersby and many other things which betray it's early access status.
That's not the reason why I rated it at 2 stars though. I'm judging only what's in the game right now, without criticising it's length as well as technical problems and optimization (which right now is terrible honestly when compared to the original Atom RPG). I will also update this review accordingly after the full release.
I usually wouldn't bother with reviewing an in-dev game, however, it is EXTREMLY tedious, I honestly haven't played a game that would be piss me off so much in a long time. For example, a couple of hours in I had two quests that were very similar and involved lots of running around between different neighbourhoods. Which is sufficiently annoying by itself, especially if you weren't doing them simultaneously. And the interesting ones were over in a heartbeat.
However, finding the people you need to talk to in the cramped maps often required to search every nook and cranny and having LOTS of pointless dialogues, especially if you missed that one guy you were looking for.
I was so annoyed by these errands that I was skipping most of the dialogue, which was plentiful, just to get them finished. I even stopped accepting side quests alltogether from the people I found while looking for that one bloke that I had to find.
The fact that, from what I've seen thus far, the game is contained exclusively in the city doesn't help in alleviating boredom, it does quite the opposite actually. I hope that in the finished game devs will include some locations outside the city limits.
To sum it all up, don't get it now if you want to play.
The first game did it as well but not to this extend, but some good equipment is being locked behind "supporter" dlc, which is just another terrible trend in the gaming industry. Don't support this behaviour. One of the dlc outfits raises your persuation / barter skills, which are generally hard to raise since not many items buff these stats.
