Description
The Recharged arcade games have been reimagined for modern gameplay, and while remaining true to their originals, they contain new vibrant visuals, gameplay mechanics, quality of life changes and… original soundtracks from award-winning video game composer Megan McDuffee!

Includes:

Asteroids: Recharged
Asteroids: Recharged creates a familiar, but revitalized and modern challenge to both old school and new high score chasers. And 30 unique and creative challenge levels take the space shooting game play into new territory, complete with local and global leaderboards.

Breakout Recharged
Breakout: Recharged will forever change what you expect from a brick-breaking title. The endless arcade mode and 50 challenge levels will push you to the limit of your skills. Don’t fret, however, as this wouldn’t be a Recharged title without game-changing powerups. Expect the aid of rail guns, homing missiles, and explosives to join the traditional multi-ball. You’ll need every tool in the arsenal and razor-sharp reflexes to climb the global leaderboards.

Centipede: Recharged
Aim for a high score in the old school arcade mode and earn bragging rights with your name at the top of the leaderboard. Or test your skills and rank on the boards in one of 30 intensely creative challenges, which twist the gameplay in new and exciting ways.

Gravitar: Recharged
With Gravitar: Recharged Atari revisits an incredibly ambitious arcade title. The 1982 original took the rotate, thrust and fire mechanics of Asteroids and Space Duel, combined them with the gravity of Lunar Lander, and added exploration and elements of cave flying. The result was an extremely challenging arcade game that was eventually ported to the Atari 2600. The game, which did not achieve broad commercial success, has become a cult classic among Atari enthusiasts.

Yars: Recharged
Yars: Recharged requires players to remain acutely aware of visual and audio cues that hint of impending danger, and to master rhythm of each boss as they navigate increasingly complex enemy defenses, all to epic soundtrack by Megan McDuffee.
The new game marks Atari’s return to the Yars universe, which is based on Howard Scott Warshaw’s classic Yars’ Revenge. Released in 1982.

Black Widow: Recharged
Aim for a high score in the old school arcade mode and earn bragging rights with your name at the top of the leaderboard. Or test your skills and rank on the boards in one of 30 intensely creative challenges, which twist the gameplay in new and exciting ways.
Collect cash from downed enemies to charge a powerful web blast, or pick up one of a dozen new power-ups including explosive blasts, spread-shots, and fear, trapping all enemies in your web. Every mode and level is playable in local co-op mode with a friend.

Missile Command: Recharged
Missile Command: Recharged takes the classic arcade game and adds several layers of oomph and pizzaz. This revamped take on the classic introduces more power-ups, new enemies, and a suite of challenges that limit the number of counter-defenses at your disposal - not to mention co-op across all game modes! An amazing new soundtrack from the incomparable Megan McDuffee perfectly complements the gameplay and adds depth and variety. Of course, you could also test your skills against players across the globe in the 32 challenge levels or the classic endless Arcade mode.

Pathetic.

One look at these trailers says enough for me to give this a review. You took classic golden-age coin-op games and made them look like shitty mobile ports. Atari, do SOMETHING NEW for once. All you do is do half-baked rereleases of the IPs you own, and 90% of the time you can't even do that right (you screwed Blood Fresh Supply over ROYALLY). How do you manage to be this incompetent and still be around?? If you think anyone should pay $60 dollars for this collection of low-effort games, you can get bent.

Centipede ,Breakout ,And much more ...

It is a classic seen many times and born many times. This is the next iteration of a hundred times seen. Is it playing well? Yes, it does. Do I want to play this version? ...yes, I do, but the condition is that it's priced like the games it competes with. And Pitfall doesn't sell much anymore.

Retro Classics redone

Not sure why this has such a low rating unless people just don't understand old school arcade style games from back in the day. Of the set, I'm most fond of Centipede, which yes is a touch different from the original I played in the 80s, but it gets the same feel. All in all they're fun, good for a short window to just blast a few things and go on about your day. Excellent for the person who don't want to constantly invest hours into any game they sit down at, or those who just want a bit of nostalgia fueled relaxation.

Good versions of classic games

These are modern remakes of some Atari classics. I find them entertaining and relaxing. It's easy just pick up and play. Most of them are easy to get into. For short break these are more fun than original versions or most of the modern games. Gameplay is addicting.

Atari Refunded Bundle

Atari is really enjoying the 80's retro thing, and it doesn't seem to be fizzling, even cassettes are hip again, and I just saw an ad for a 200 dollar walkman that does "special" things, and there's 70 reviews praising the damn thing. Point is, I think the retro thing will make some overlook the fact 60 is just too high for these games, and the retro thing is also watered down a bit with this bundle since they're not 80's replica's of the games, they're 80's games re-imagined. On the bright side, the price will come down, the re-imagined Double Dragon was a little high in price at first and came down rather fast... and I hate that game, it always ctd's on the final level...
