Personally played on ranger difficulty wich makes you play it more safely and sparingly with ammo than the run and gun of oldschool shooters like doom.
Think of it like doom meets metro 2033 where you interact with different people and factions settlements and missions that have some effect on the world around you.
It's also 100% free.
I think this mod came out in 2019 and still as of 2025 as I'm typing this in the reviews , this is still by far one of the best Doom 2 GZDoom mods/wads I have ever played. It feels like it is its own game and doesn't feel like Doom 2 even like I just said its a GZDoom wad/wads. The sythwave futuristic apocolyptics 80s feels obviously taking inspiration from movies like Mad Max .
Takes DOOM to entirely new world with a mix of Fallout and STALKER. I thought the whole thing was fun and it was cool that there were hubs where you could get sidequests/buy items. Fresh for a doom mod.
