ARMA: Cold War Assault

WTF??? I hanged few graphical options in-game and now it not responding... Just freezes on first splash screen! ONe OF MY FAVOURITE GAMES FROM MY CHILDHOOD NOT WORKING!!!

I read some of the review, I know its an old game, and its a simulation, but at some point I waited so long for a mission to start it was ridiculous (even if I fastforward in time), it was not a fun experience at all

im sorry if i have to say this, but i do not agree with the other people here. this game is full of bugs, you dont see the enemy, just when you move with your aim over him you see the declaration. the movement-animation suck and you die - and you dont know why. you simply just die without any reason. for me, this game sucks

GoG keeps selling games that don´t work without tweaking or modding or endless searching for fixes. Again and again i buy games here that end up on my hidden unplayable "out of the box" game list. Many of you will say to just download this and that but it's the same as buyin a new car and the seller saying " now you'll just have to look somewhere in the www for the engine for it to work". i wonder if they even test the freaking games before they buy it, because on a updated machine it does not work as is.

I might not make many friends by saying this, but Arma2 multiplayer, is free. No single player campaign, that'll cost you a few bucks. But if you have a few friends, Arma2 is your best bet for multiplayer action, with an engine that isn't a decade old. Arma1's basic campaign is excellent. Really very good. But if you can live without it, and you have friends, Arma2 provides an excellent platform to create campaigns, stories, missions, scenarios, whatever you want, for not a single dime, and not a single issue with CD keys. I doubt that my opinion will be popular, but this is all true. Enjoy Arma 1 if you like, that's fine, but don't ignore Arma 2, it's even better and you'll probably have more fun with fewer issues. One last time: Arma 1 has its merits, but if you want multiplayer missions with military realism and a great editor, the free version of Arma 2 is simply a better choice.
