Real funny retro-experience
Nice to go back and have fun. Missing the old soundtrack. Just playing single-mode, therefore it could be more game-options for single-players, but else it was just fun to play it after a long time. :-)

Cultural Heritage
It is rare sometimes to see how good game passes test of time. Nice work, nice sound design. It may lack at the moment keyboard controls and full-screen retro mode, but definetely worth place in collection.

Really great with a mouse
The skill curve was very real when I tried it with a controller at first and I found the ball getting far too fast to keep up like some others. You'll got better at finessing the analog sticks, but the real magic of the game opened up when I played with a desktop mouse! It's Arkanoid, it feels great to play. Could they have added more bells and whistles, more soundtracks, more game modes? Yeah, but this is still pretty good what we got. 4.5/5

Overall an excellent game
The graphics and audio are both top-caliber. The gameplay mechanics are done very well also. My only minor gripe is that the input methods are not equally calibrated, meaning that if the player controls the game with the mouse then the paddle can be moved faster than it can be moved using other input methods such as the keyboard or gamepad. This gives an unfair advantage to this particular input method over others. The electronic dance music style is nice, but I would prefer it to omit the "hand claps" but that is also a minor detriment. Thankfully there is no high-pitched distorted "chipmunk voices" singing, but again that is just my own personal preference. The music integrates very well with the rest of the game and it transitions seamlessly from one song to another which is impressive. The graphics are superb. They include special effects like blur and particles, but even without these extra effects they would stand solid on their own. Even the retro mode with its 1980s era graphics are nicely rendered, complete with a subtle distortion applied for an emulated old-style classic CRT curved monitor. As mentioned, the game offers a classic mode which pays homage to the 1980s original Arkanoid game of that era. This is a nice extra feature. In any mode, this game is a challenge to play! But that challenging aspect along with its refined graphics and audio will keep you coming back for more. I do recommend this game, especially if you are looking for a light casual game that can be played in short mini-break sessions like 5 to 10 minute iterations. Even though it excels in shorter iterations, it can also be played for extended marathon sessions, like 1 to 3 hours, without losing its appeal. This game is well produced and will keep you entertained for hours. It is definitely one of the better games I have played.
