Get ready for fast paced submarine action, defending the kittens from disruptive mechanical sea creatures.
THE MILK MUST FLOW!
An Arcade mode with a weapons system you upgrade by collecting gems.
Fast paced horizontally scrolling retro underwater shooter with cats in submarines!
Amazing hand drawn pixel art combined with awesome chiptune audio influenced by the greats of the Amiga and C64 days.
Optional 2 player local co-op, branching map progression, infinite mode, depth based powerup system... and more!
The game consists in shooting enemies underwater. It is entertaining, but I think it's not possible to save the game, so every time I exit to the operating system I have to start again from the beginning. It also doesn't come with a Linux version, but I've managed to play it successfully with the Wine emulator.
Gameplay and concept is fun. Even pretty good. But the low resolution options make it awkward to play.
I don't think the graphics need an overhaul, I understand the game's aesthetic, but not supporting HD, 1440p, etc, on a game that was made after 2010, is a little disappointing. Prevents me from streaming it as I have to re-rig my whole setup to broadcast it.
GoG, I insist that you need to add Achievements by yourself, or ask the Developers to add Achievements to games that are currently available in the store or have been released before!
Absolute crap for multiplayer. Do. not. buy.
- Max screen resolution is 720p.
- Two players share the SAME SCREEN, and the screen is centered. So unless you're on top of each other, you can see even less than the already TINY view.
- If ONE of the players dies... game over. Not round over... game... over. The whole game starts over again.
Crap.
The power-ups you get in this game are mostly worthless. There's one or two that actually helps out but which one you get is random. As a bonus that stuff you get your power-ups from can actually hurt you, its rather counter-intuitive.
Then there's the controls, there is nothing wrong with how smooth they are but this is a shooter where you have to use an extra button so you can actually turn around and shoot the other way. This is rather important because you have to do this constantly as enemies come from all sides. This game would play so much smoother if your character would just turn to the direction you where moving towards, you could even have to button that normally changed your facing-direction to one that holds it in place instead. It would be nice to have that option, but sadly we're stuck with what we have, which is shit.
Also all levels need to be unlocked before they can be played. Which is bullshit, fuck these developers who keep doing this.
Also when you are on the main menu and you want to quit the game you get this annoying question if you're sure about it, and you can't just hit enter to shut it up quickly, you have to press the "y" button. This is more useless annoying bullshit that should not be in games. This isn't a in-game menu from an RTS that have multi-hour battles where you can accidentally click the "exit to operating system" option when you have it paused. A simple little game like this doesn't need this shit in its main menu.
It's really too bad, because the game itself is rather good, if it wasn't for all these annoyances.
