The humans delved far beneath the earth to find the mercy of the gods. What they found was never meant to reach the surface. Not on Midgard, nor any of the nine realms of Yggdrasil. Now their discovery wreaks havoc on their world, exploiting their technology, and leaving all in misery and decay. Through all their conquests and revelations they never stopped to consider that some things are buried for a reason.

- not a fan of the save system.
- some enemies are not very interesting.
thats all i can think of right now.
If you are looking for a great narrative experience wit a touch of horror and madness, all deep into an Epic Norse myth plot this is the game for you, for starters, it played beatifully, no bugs at all, 60fps constant, no stutter, no nothing, no bugs...that´s already saying something on this times.
The game has the right lenght, though the ending felt a little bit rushed.
The hand mechanic and the sound design were top notch.
Just a great game, hope to see much more from this developer
Apsulov: End of Gods just might be the coolest indie horror game I've ever played. Something about the combination of a cultist like high tech corporation hits just right. This imageneing of Norse mythology is quite creative.
That being said, it feels like Angry Demon Studios had to make some cuts during the development process. The game is short. I naturally don't have a problem with that, but there are some parts of the story that feel like they should have been fleshed out more. The creature that clings to the main character for example. How you only need to get 2 keys out of the 9 nessacary for apsulov tablet for another. Perahaps the studio made these cuts in the interest of polishing the game before release, which would make sense because this game has higher degree of polish than it has any right to have. Same thing with the voice acting. It's not great, but waaaayyy better than I was expecting.
4 stars feels right because, for an indie game, it is an impressive concept. Even a bit scary too :)
Hi, Apsulov is a FPP (First Person Perspective) horror with emphasis on missions and exploring. Abandoned high tech environments installations, research station with high tech gadgetry age, tunnels, alarms, lifts, sometimes stay in the dark is necessary. There is aim (right button) for interactions ex: opening doors, using the charging arm to zap enemies. Replay info audio logs, collect keys. Auto save locations. Explore installations, has weather conditions. High resolutions available, rebindable keys like crouch, jump, movements, run, unique flashlight. Toggle crouch + run. Supports gamepad. Supports multiple languages. Allows motion blur to be turned off.
Superb eerie atmospheric sound effects, NPC chatter.
Excellent Immersive (FPP) explorer.
I really enjoyed this one, it's like playing a really good horror movie with a Norse mythology subplot.
Creepy atmosphere with a familiar story, where you have to find out what happened to the crazy science base and how you fit in. Good balance of feeling helpless and alone in the dark, contrasted to when you finally get some abilities to do something about it.
The sound design is incredible. Very atmospheric, and using your "sight" ability also tunes in your ears to hear audio cues to find logs, powerups, and secret collectibles. There is also secret writing everywhere you can decipher if you figure out the runes (it's a simple letter substitution).
Has an interesting choice at the end and a new game plus mode for the completionists, so I will definitely run through it again to try and get all the collectibles and see how the alternative ending plays out.
Excellent game from a small team, incredibly polished, I only encountered one bug (a flickering texture).
Highly recommended if you enjoyed games such as "Soma" or "Vanishing of Ethan Carter."
