Alien: Isolation is a first-person survival horror game capturing the fear and tension evoked by Ridley Scott’s 1979 classic film. Really fun but short DLC

Firstly, you shouldn't play this DLC without playing the main campaign, as you start with some mid campaign equipment. This DLC can be beaten in less than an hour, although you will probably fail some attempts before beating it if you play on hard or higher (which is actually recommended by the devs), because the alien is quite aggresive and there aren't as many hiding spots as in the main campaign. So it will usually last between an hour and two. You basically start in a safe zone with some equipment (you can get some or all of it), and then you get right into the action after descending one floor. The DLC is just three floors, but each one has its own problems and the alien will easily destroy you if you don't outsmart him fastly. It doesn't use save spots as the main campaign, just checkpoints. Best part it that you get nearly instantly into the action. It's a homage to some scenes from the first movie, and you can play as some of the characters in it. You have to do some objetives just like in the movie. I think it's really nice for showing the game to somebody who isn't going to play the entire game, and it's a fun little game if you love the main campaign. Just keep in mind it's really short. I personally think it's worth it discounted, not at full price.

Short and pointless

Just more of the main game stealth gameplay, for a very short alternative scenario based on the Alien movie. Not worth the price.
