Alice VR includes Roboto Factory DLC An all new level that adds over 30 minutes of additional gameplay.

Get inside the famous Roboto Factory, where all the bots you've met on Speculo were created. Discover its workings and see your old mechanical companions in a new light.

This brand new DLC for Alice VR adds more puzzles and lets you question your reality once more. Alice VR is a story-driven exploration game rich with puzzles and designed to be a singular VR adventure. Game is inspired by the famous Lewis Carroll's novel "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland", taking its characters and themes to a new science-fiction setting. Enjoy beautiful graphics, atmospheric, electronic soundtrack and lose yourself in the world of Alice VR.

An unexpected malfunction forces your ship’s AI to wake you from the cryo sleep. You have to make an emergency landing on the nearby planet. Your goal there is simple: find enough fuel to escape. This straightforward task gets complicated when you realize that all of the planet’s citizens had disappeared in mysterious circumstances.

Alice VR is a fresh take on the classic adventures of Alice in Wonderland. During your playthrough you'll meet familiar characters such as Cheshire Cat or Mad Hatter, but the unique sci-fi setting will make every encounter a big surprise.

Will you discover the planet's secret? Are you ready to face the challenges ahead? Follow the white rabbit into the unknown - the future is in your hands.

Does. Not. Work.

This game -- loosely inspired by Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and having relatively rich visuals -- is completely let down by a single, fatal flaw: It doesn't work. As of this writing, there are only two VR headsets that matter: Facebook's Oculus Rift, and HTC's Vive. "Alice VR" only really supports the Vive (allegedly), although it offers a launch option for the Oculus. But it might as well not, as the moment you touch any of the buttons on the Oculus Touch controller, the game instantly crashes. The extent of Alice VR's tech support is, "Yeah, we don't support the Touch." Okay, put the Touch controllers down and drive the game through the keyboard (which I can't see). Nope. Although the help text says that you can change your viewing direction by moving the mouse, it doesn't work. No other buttons on the keyboard or the mouse were able to alter view direction. "Dude, just turn your head." I would remind you that I'm sitting at a computer, at my desk, driving using the keyboard. Physically turning around is a challenge at best. Finally, I gave up on the VR aspect of Alice VR and played it conventionally. This time I got much further, and was able to travel to the planet. However, shortly thereafter, I found myself presented with a dune buggy to drive across the alien landscape. I got in and attempted to drive off, but quickly discovered that -- all together now -- it doesn't work. Although I could make the wheels turn, nothing I did made the vehicle actually move. My guess is that I have to point at some control in the dune buggy to switch it on but, in non-VR mode, the pointer is locked to the center of the screen. The last update to this game was over a year ago, and while I could *almost* excuse not considering the I-am-seated-at-my-computer use case, it's abundantly clear this game has had very little formal testing. If you have an HTC Vive, and this game works for you, great. Otherwise, you should probably stay away.

Oculus Touch don't work

got an positive answer from the devs about a plan to make a fix for this. Was almost a year ago, I don't see it coming anymore. If you own an oculus and this game, just curse the devs and play with an joypad instead touch. It's awful, but at least it works somehow.

A Decent if Mediocre Puzzle game

I thought the idea of a sci-fi version of Alice in Wonderlands sounded like a very interesting concept but what got made was just average. Not bad mind you, just average. From the graphics, performance, options, puzzles, story, I can think of much worse games but can also think of much better. For starters outside of mentioning of characters names from the Alice in Wonderland universe you never actually get to meet any of them. The story also just kind of ends without any real finale. It isn't even a case of being setup for a sequel so much as it just ends with no real resolution. Throughout the game it seems to allude to a grand conspiracy or secret that will be revealed but nothing ever is. It seems to set up a much bigger payoff that never happens. You also get a hint of a moral dilemma when you have the option of getting power for your space ship but at the expense of the planet you are getting it from. No consequences for your actions ever take place though. The graphics are decent but not great. You won't be thinking at any time that you're playing the next Crysis but they're not an eye sore either. I did notice that a constant issue throughout much of the game was that certain textures, mainly rocks or parts of walls, would flicker very often from their normal color to black and back again. Not game breaking but annoying. Seeing that the last update was over a year ago I doubt these flickering textures will be fixed. The performance overall was good. My usual frame rate was 90-100 FPS but I had drops to the 40's and 50's sometimes for short periods of a few seconds. It was kind of weird as at no point in the game is a lot going on so I am not sure the cause of the drops. The game also never crashed on me once. I played at highest settings at 1920*1080. There aren't too many options for those who like that sort of thing. The game has no FOV slider, no manual save options, no vsync option, only 4 graphics options. There are 4 settings for AA though and ALT-TAB works without any issues. The game play itself was pretty simplistic. You have to navigate through puzzles to progress while having the option to take fuel you find lying around. There's really only 3-4 types of puzzles that happen over and over though. More often than not your throwing objects at buttons and shrinking down to reach certain areas. None of it was really challenging or engaging. Again, I didn't have a bad experience but can't bring myself to praise any part of the game. It took me 3 hours to finish the game. I did not play with a VR headset. Overall if you're desperate for a puzzle game give it a go, there is certainly worse games to play and worse ways to spend a few hours but don't expect too much. I give it 6.5/10

This game is OK

For me this was an Ok first person story adventure intended for VR headsets. Perhaps it would be better in VR though I played on a standard screen. The game has an unfinished feel as though they ran out of time to complete it and therefore left things unresolved. Potential remains to fill out the story and experience to make it much more satisfying. A second play through allows you to take your time to enjoy the weirdness and discover multiple endings. The game was enjoyable enough that I started over a couple of times to finish exploring. PROS: Attractive visuals and some interesting game mechanics offer potential. Not a long game to complete and some replay value to finish collecting things and story you missed on first play through. CONS: Short game. Unresolved story is frustrating. Some 'wall collision' bugs force you to reload to continue. Game paths you wanted to explore are cut off if you travel a different path first.
