Looking deeper behind the scenes...
Is it true that you don't get all perks if you refuse to use DRM / creating an account? I buy games on GOG because I am a voluntarist. Liberty and a free independent mind are essential for any human being and I refuse any kind of slavery or making us dependent of others, trying to rule and control us by forcing us to create acounts. I love the idea of GOG, because they give us part of our stolen freedom and independence back by providing DRM free games. If I buy a game than I want to own it and play it the way I want to, whenever I want to without any cencorship, without being pushed around by any company trying to boss me around. I want to buy and own a game, but not only to rent it and to be pushed into agreeing to stupid disrespectful inhuman conditions of slavery forced on us by steam, origin, ubisoft and co. I always pay honestly for games and never use illegal copies. But I love GOG and DRM free games because I consider myself a free sentient human being having an independent mind. The whole system we live in is getting worse than in George Orwells novella. The idea and spirit behind GOG is a sign of resistance. I want to support this idea. THIS is the reason why I buy my games here on GOG. If a game tries to push me into creating any account or gives me disadvantages if I refuse, than I avoid it, no matter how beautiful it might be. Hence before I make a decission whether I might buy this game please tell me: Will I get all funcions, all perks and the complete game without any need of cerating any account or being online? I want to be shure. Thank you for your response.

Clear Up
This game is a rather unique Turn Based Strategy game. There is the overworld map, where you manage your empire, cities, magical research, spellcasting and troop movements. For a battle, there is a seperate combat map, where the turn-based system allows for complete control over every unit. Most units fit into one or more categories, and all have different strengths and weaknesses. Some of these are along the entire race or class of the units you fight with, some depend more on their role, like the obvious weakness of cavalry vs pikes. At the start of the game, you choose your starting race and your class. While you can control cities of multiple races, your research is limited to your class, making for a very different experience depending on which class you choose. There is the Sorcerer, who prefers to magically summon troops in addition to his racial units, and uses devastating spells in battle like Chain Lightning and Chaos rift. There is the Arch-Druid, who summons creatures from the wild, has access to excellent archers, and uses the forces of nature to achieve his goals, from summoning swarms of insects to accelerating destructive processes to disable enemy machines. There is the Rogue, who depends on stealth and precision strikes in combination with happiness (de)buffs to cripple his opponent, before moving in with high-damage units. There is the Dreadnought, who builds legions of machines to help him achieve his goals. There is the Warlord, who trains his troops to unparalleled skill, and overpowers his opponents. And lastly, the Theocrat, who heals his forces, converts hostile forces, and uses magic to both enhance his own forces and smite the infidels. Overall, a varied and strategic game allowing for many hours of gameplay. Also, the rather small game studio offers great technical support, and listens to their buyers, and reads their own forums.

Better than Civ and HoMM
Just a really good turn-based strategy game.
