Enjoyable point and click experience.
Puzzles - 3/5 - Fun and straight forward puzzles, but nothing particularly difficult. A few of them feel very much like busy work for the sake of busy work, but generally are well themed and make sense in the context of the story. Characters - 3/5 - Fun characters who have unique personalities, but the VA work on a few of them is rather stilted and off and it makes them feel very wooden and lifeless in a few areas. Story - 4/5 - I've never read the original novel so my expectations will be different to those who have. I enjoyed the overarching story, and the supporting detective character had enjoyable 'off-train' chapters of the story. Visuals - 3/5 - Nothing in this game made me think that the visuals were bad, because they weren't, but it's obvious that budget limitations has made a few things very rough around the edges. I don't think it majorly detracts from the experience. This is the first in this 'series' of games I have played, and overall I think it was very worth the sale price (think I paid 30 AUD), and it has prompted me to look into playing the other Poirot games in the series.
