Fantastic, if flawed
Honestly, the game is great, it expands on the first game in the way every sequal should, they also got rid of the rather forced french accents in the english VO which makes the performances much more impactful IMO. My biggest issues honestly come with the games pacing, specifically in the third act, it starts of so well and then is just kinda just a mad dash to the finish. I honestly think there was a cut level or something before the final mission because the fight with The Count just kinda comes out of nowhere. The ending does kinda make up for it, being rather impactful emotionally, however i was left with this feeling of wanting more from the game in the end. Graphically this game is BEAUTIFUL... although, i do kinda prefer how the first game looks, this one just looks a bit too noisy from his TAA implemention. Thats not to say it doesn't look gorgous, it definitally does, but I found myself not taking in the environments nearly as much as I did in the first game. Overall, 100% recommend giving this game a shot, especially if you are a fan of the first.

It's good.
Play it with French voices instead.

Excellent sequel!
I was a big fan of the first game but had my gripes with it as while it did surprise me for how good it was it still had a lot of flaws. Needless to say pretty much all my gripes have been addressed in the sequel. This is one of the best looking games I've ever played. It's a complete eye candy on max settings. Supports both DLSS and framegen. The gameplay can be quite challenging, and the mechanics are quite unique in many ways. You can spend hours plotting out which path to take and how to tackle the obstacles in each area without getting detected. The story is also great, it is quite dark for how charming/wholesome it can be at the same time. I won't elaborate much further as I don't want to spoil it for you. Can't recommend it enough, it's worth it even at full price. Hoping Asobo does a sequel, if they do I'm curious to see where they go from here.

My personal GOTY 2022
Yeak, Ok, rant about the 30 FPS. A few battles to much. The ending (i liked it). Bla bla Nevertheless, i find Requiem a dense, thrilling, well written, heartbreaking, "just one chapter more" experience i would not have missed. Feeling very much like the first part, with many improvements in gameplay and the protagonists' abilities, going to the heart of darkness - multiple times - "A Plague Tale: Requiem" gave me that post game depression like few did before. Lining up with other unforgotten classics, like "Planescape Torment" or the Mass Effect franchise. Still sad after finishing - In a good way.
