I always played this game with my cousin. We used to play custom maps for hours on end when we were younger. I have only fond memories of this game and that's without having played the campaign once - that's why I'd love to have it on GoG; to relive those memories and to finally play the campaign.

Ah, all those custom maps and nights while blasting emo songs. The OG DotA before it got Gigabytes of graphics. Still want to play this on a handheld pc one day. With the technology we have today and GoG, one can wish for that day to happen. Plus, it's easier to get this here.
Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne isn't just a DLC — it’s a masterclass in how to expand upon a beloved game without compromising its core. Released in 2003, this expansion to Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos elevated everything: story, gameplay mechanics, multiplayer depth, and modding tools. It took an already legendary RTS and pushed it into the stratosphere. The campaign alone is worth the price of admission. It continues the dark, emotional tale of Arthas and his descent into becoming the Lich King — one of the most iconic villain arcs in gaming history. But beyond the narrative, The Frozen Throne introduced new units, heroes, and gameplay strategies for each faction, enriching the meta and making competitive matches even more dynamic and intense. It also played a crucial role in shaping modern gaming. Thanks to the robust World Editor, The Frozen Throne gave rise to custom maps like Defense of the Ancients (DotA) — the mod that launched the MOBA genre. Without this expansion, there might never have been League of Legends or Dota 2. Releasing this expansion on GOG would preserve a pivotal part of PC gaming history in a DRM-free, accessible format. With proper support for modern systems and the original art and gameplay intact — not the altered Reforged version — GOG could give both old-school fans and new players the definitive way to experience one of the greatest DLCs ever made.
i always play this game as a kid with my brother and uncles, it was our favorite ill like to play it againg and maybe online wiht them, it will be something very cool
I love this game. And would definitely love to own it on GOG. It's a classic that I played alongside friends (some still on this earth, some sadly gone) and had much fun even when I couldn't understand almost anything that was being said. Now I can understand what is being said and I want to experience all the amazing stories this game has to offer.

The sequel to the best game ever made. Same as I posted before. This games just hits that special part of my heart, it need to be preserved. Playing survivial chaos and tower defense maps with my friend was a beautiful experience,
This is an unique gem. This game is so good, that even if you aren't a fan of RTS or strategies at all, you will like this game anyway. It's that good. Even though I'm bad at RTS, I spent long hours playing this on any PC I could get my hands on
When asked about games that shaped my childhood two stand out, Morrowind and Warcraft III. I still remember the first time I played it at twelve years old on my brother's new computer. I remember him teaching me that I could install it on another computer no problem. I remember thousands and thousands of custom games. I can be the boomer whenever brings up LOL or DOTA and say "Well, I remember when all that stuff was just custom maps on WC3." I have memories of being in middle school and having sleep overs with my buddies and getting our asses kicked in ranked play. I used to have a horrible internet connection so I had buddies I met online join with me and beg people to wait for me and not kick me. I'm getting tearful just thinking about it. An amazing gem of a game that came out at the perfect time.

This is an important moment in RTS land, once again by Westwood/Blizzard. Ever hear of a game called DOTA or League of Legends? Well this is why it happened, THIS was the cradle of MOBA civilization. All the custom gaming here was PHENOMENAL, and I played it endlessly. Starcraft 2 enjoyed a similar custom content scene and the tower defense ones and custom hero based maps felt like early WoW. An absolute masterpiece and I didn't even play competitively, but the competitive scene defined micro in a way I did not see before in SC Broodwar. I do hope they won't roll it out with gimped Kael'thas nerfed flame pillar or his campaign leven will be downright UNPLAYABLE. That was annoying to be honest, players may not know that and think the level impossible (which would be fair to say)
I have always hated the trope in movies where a character is so engrossed in something they literally stop paying attention to their surroundings. It looked so unrealistic. That is until I played this game. I still remember the day. 2003 summer. One of the rich kids got the game from their absent parents and they invited me over to play. He went out to the kitchen, meanwhile I started a skirmish map with the Night Elves to see all the new living tree buildings. The way they've all looked during the night cycle of the game, the fairy lights, the mysterious music...it was a magical moment. Only problem was that there was this flickering on the screen. It toom me about 10 seconds to realize that there was no flickering. It was the kid's hand waving between me and the screen to get my attention. Turned out he was talking to me the whole time and my brain literally did not even register it. No background noise I can hum an "uh-huh" at every minute. Simply nothing. Just the game, just the visuals, the story, the characters. A true masterpiece. I felt a bit disappointed how the 'Reforged' version of the game looked like, but got some hope when many issues were fixed about it. However, I still want to check back on that original magic that got me hooked the first time.

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.

Dune

Dune blended adventure with economic and military strategy, and is considered by many the most immersive Dune computer game. Loosely following the story of the novel, the game casts the player as Paul Atreides, with the ultimate goal of driving the Harkonnen from Planet Dune, while managing spice extraction, military, and later, ecology through the native Fremen tribes. As the player progresses, his troops are equipped with weapons from "crysknives" to atomics, tap into Paul's latent psychic powers, and get acquainted with such characters from the book as Chani and Liet-Kynes.

Dune 2000
Dune 2000Real-time strategy taking place in Frank Herbert's "Dune" universe. The game is a remake of a classic RTS game "Dune 2". Player can play as a commander of one of three different factions: Harkonnen, Atreides or Ordos. Do you like the feeling you get when you have won over someone? If it was something that we had really worked hard, then the fell of victory is something precious and incalculable. The game Dune 2000 could help in giving your competitive spirit a new edge. It is an updated version of the Dune II. In this game the player would have to fight for an interesting thing; the control of the spices in the galaxy. The spices control could make you the most powerful there. The player has to choose to be one of the three houses first: Atreides, Harkonnen, or Ordos. Each house has its own vice and virtue and the right selection could give the player right start to the game but he could learn as well as, later in the game with time. Once you choose a side, you to win the King’s challenge of producing the most amount of spice. It won’t be as easy as it sounds. For getting the control of the spices, the player has to fight over the other two houses by all means. Dune 2000 is done with enough of stunt and live-in scenes to pep up the theme and there is a soothing sound score to add to the overall theme. It’s a game based on the Dune series book of Frank Herbert and gives the player a real pleasure of both combat and competition.
