I have very fond memories of the Lord of the Rings games on the PS2. Although it was a collection, for me, the best titles were, without a doubt, The Return of the King and The Third Age.
The Return of the King is an action masterpiece, letting you relive the epic battles from the movie with fantastic and adrenaline-fueled gameplay. However, the one that earned a special place in my heart was The Third Age. This RPG fascinated me with its turn-based combat system, which strongly reminded me of Final Fantasy X, one of my favorite games of all time. The way it immerses you in Middle-earth, exploring its nooks and crannies and participating in strategic battles, is simply brilliant.
While both games brilliantly capture the essence of the Tolkien universe, The Third Age stands out by offering a deep and rewarding experience, similar to the one that made me fall in love with Final Fantasy X so long ago.
