I had the NES version - it was one of the last NES games I ever bought NIB.
It was a blast to not only manage an entire civilization, with each newly-terraformed planet adding a new supply facet to my empire (each planet type was best for something), but also to build up the power to invade, conquer, and add enemy planets to my own. The closest game I've found to it is "Sins of a Solar Empire", but that's more about space fleet battles than micro-managing an empire to make the most of each planet, and then set up supply routes to export goods & address deficiencies for each planet type...
I would love to be ale to play it again, especially if it can be made to work on modern hardware & OS's (Windows 7 & 10, at least....)
