Slay the Spire was one of those genre-defining games for card roguelikes so many years ago. It was one of those games that would take you in for hours, not really frustrate you with unreasonably stupid mechanics and great replayability. Even the visuals were not at all problematic in their simplicity, actually making it playable for so many consumers that did not have a stronger rig. It made it accessible, and surpizingly solid, polished game. I do not know anything about its dev team, but, from how it was thought out, even if it would take some time. Really says that, at least some of them, really do love game and the art of making it. I believe it to be one of those games worth preserving, worth playing, and, for the future devs, worth studying.
Slay the Spire 2 is a long-awaited successor of this game, and it have already made waves. If all will be good (always remember Disco Elysium fiasco), this game will be another staple for card game enjoyers. GOG would benefit from aquiring it for this platform. Thank you.
