I've have never found another game that scratched the particular itch this one did. This was my first base-building game, and had all the best elements of that as well as a gradual takeover of the yard while looking out for hazards and collecting food to grow the colony. Far ahead of its time.
Ideally I'd alove to play a modernized version (but without major changes to gameplay and strategy), but I'd purchase a GOG revival immediately, for more than I'd like to admit.
I also know both my kids would love this game, and I really want to share it with them. So many of the newer similar games have too much adult content, but this gives them strategy and that survival-of-the-fittest approach without the human violence of most newer games.
