I used to rent this game (as well as its sister game, "Djuphavsjakten") from my local library and play at home on our PC. Not only was it extremely educational when it comes to astronomy, physics and other space-related topics, it was also a great strategy/management game that was acutally fun to play. I would even consider it to be one of the best space program simulators out there!
The gameplay is easy, mostly picking topics for the characters in the game to reserach which they then present to you and moves the story forward. Yes, there is a compelling narrative and main objective in the game. The narrative is further promoted by excellent (swedish) voice-acting.
Other than the research picking and building up your space program over time there are also a few mini-games here and there that adds a bit of variety to the gameplay. There are also cutscenes for pivotal moments in the game, such as when you complete your first main objective to send a manned expedition to the moon.
This game is a real gem of educational games, primarily aimed for kids but are still fun to play as an adult, and really deserves to be preserved.
