this turn based strategy game is where i cut my teeth learning the art of battlefield strategy. The music was great and trying to get the high ground for your canons and troops to dig in was amazing. The reenactment scenes were always entertaining and trying to keep your troops moral up was always a struggle.
It was one of my and still is one of my favorite turn based strategy games.
This game was one of the first hex and counter gems that I stumble upon, what a classic! Very approachable but quite deep once I dig further in, and has great Sierra production quality. On top of that it is one of the few hex and counter Civil War games ever released, so it would be a solid entry in the GOG collection!
I’ve looked for this game for years wanting to relive it. Would be super cool to see it playable in current windows. I can still hear the music from this game in my head sometimes.
This game is more then Strategy, as you progress you only have so much resources. If you win battles you gain more resources, if you lose you run out. This applys on the field too, not just getting better equipment for your troops. Spend all your resources on equipment, and then your forces run out of ammo. Its a fun mind game of strategy, and test of vision.
This is one of the earliest games I remember playing. It was at some old friend of my Dad's house that I went to once or twice. Turn based hexagonal strategy game that reminds me a lot of Panzer General. For that reason alone is enough for me to get it outright. I remember hearing "The Bonnie Blue Flag" playing during the game and being catchy. I greatly enjoyed watching the short live action reenactment battle clips played during each attack. It was great!

Each house has its own vice and virtue and the right selection could give the player right start to the game but he could learn as well as, later in the game with time. Once you choose a side, you to win the King’s challenge of producing the most amount of spice. It won’t be as easy as it sounds. For getting the control of the spices, the player has to fight over the other two houses by all means.
Dune 2000 is done with enough of stunt and live-in scenes to pep up the theme and there is a soothing sound score to add to the overall theme. It’s a game based on the Dune series book of Frank Herbert and gives the player a real pleasure of both combat and competition.Action Science fiction
