I had a MacBook pro back in the day, no Xbox or PC or gaming laptop (the only console we had in 2015 was a Wii). I was able to play the first of the Survivor series, but I couldn't play Rise of the Tomb Raider. This game (and a few others like Alice Madness Returns) taught me quite a bit about computers; because I wanted to play Rise (and a few other games), I learned how to make my Mac into a Windows using bootcamp. This game ran awfully; it was running at 10-15 fps (20 if I was lucky), and there was this horrible effect with the lighting where it became all rainbow colored and took up a majority of the screen which gave me headaches, but you bet I played the heck out of it. It ended up being my favorite of the Survivor trilogy, which I replayed once I got a proper computer and am currently replaying on the PS5. Now ten years on, my little sister is playing the Tomb Raider games on the PS5, telling me her progress and how unrealistic Laura's pain threshold is, but loving every second of it. I'm so excited for her to play Rise, it's such a great game and is the highlight of Laura's adventures imo. Hopefully this game will be on GOG so it can be enjoyed by many others for years and years to come.
